THE TRACK IS READY
Talked to Larry Langdon of Skidmarks Raceway tonight. Larry says the track has been cleaned and fresh spray glue applied The track power has been set to a true 13.6 volts. That is what you cars will see during the race. one car or eight cars the power will not waver.
Larry will be at the track for test and tune Saturday morning at noon or shortly thereafter. If you can, bring a spare car to help run in the lanes.
Larry reports with the fresh glue the track was a little stuck. However they still went 3.8's with no heat problems in the motors. If needed the braid will be cleaned before Sundays Race.
Retro Flexi racers remember for Sundays race you can run Falcon, Hawk 7, or sealed Puppy Dog motors.
You don't want to miss this race. It should be a lot of fun.
See ya at the races

35 entries 4 Classes. Started an hour or so late (noon), a couple of racers over slept. Finished around five thirty.
The Skidmarks crew were great host. Thank you guys. Race Director Jim Spove has to be one of the best there is. It is great to see him at the Raceway. Had several interested bystanders. Loads of fun for almost everyone.
It was the Cap Henry and Rich Attee show. Not taking anything away from Cap and Rick on their hard earned wins, But, it was nice to see several cars that were capable of winning. That makes the racing more fun..
Cap will post the Race report soon.
Hope everyone had a good weekend of racing.
Regards,

In the evening when we got a little hungry Larry sprung for pizza and I got to say it was some of the best zza I ever had! Thanks Larry!
Sunday was a blast and we raced Retro Flexi, F1, Can-Am and Retro Pro!
Big thanks to all the Flint folks for making it a great weekend and being such great host. I'll be back for sure.
I'll keep this short and get to the pics and short video. Cap is going to follow-up with a race report.

What kind of tire truers are those?
Not the Hudy, the other ones.
Rick Davis made that one. He mentioned that they may go into production but that all takes time. . .

How did the X-12 P/S motors hold up with the 13.6v for race conditions? I'm building a retro pro "fun car" and am leaning towards the Big Dog arm for reliability in a fun car.... but if the x-12 arm held up, that's even better!
-Richie
None of the x12 arms burned up at the 13.6v but i think just about all of them had com coolers on them and some got pretty warm and slowed down a bit but caps motor held up and was fast the whole race! it was a brand new arm and actually had about 41 degrees of timing. The x12 is hands down faster than the big dog motors by about half a second on most tracks. I have the com coolers in stock at M&T Raceway just give me a call and well get you hooked up

Pro Slot Sealed Puppy Dog motors will again be legal for Retro Flexi Coupe class at this race.
I am going to try my best to be there, but due to some on going health issues that may not happen.
Someone should go to the IRRA web site and print off some entry forms and a Tech Spec. sheet, in case I am unable to attend. If I don't make it have fun and good racing and will someone please beat Cap. Just kidding Cap.
Good luck to everyone.
