Don't feel bad Greg. I haven't had the time to build myself any cars either.

Actually, I was in Chicago today with Mike and my car is not a true copy.

By the way, are you going to the R4?

John,

Hope you didn't buy all the STUFF from Mike. I need some too.

I am hoping to make it to the R4. I don't know if I can string 3 good days in a row (health wise). I am going to send a few cars and chassis down with some one if I can't make it for three days. I really would like to run the Can-Am race.

Jeremy was in Columbus racing Saturday. Watched a little of the live cast.

I will talk to you soon.

Let's try and get all the Michigan Retro racers to attend the next race at T.S.S. on March 6. I'll talk to Bill and see if we can run on the Corner Climb.

Lets see if we can start to set up the schedule for the next series, Spring, Summer, Fall. This would also be great practice for anyone attending the R4.

I think we should still run f-1 on the flat track thoughbut its up to you guys. Also we should run retro nascars that day if we can to give us a shokedown on our cars for the r-4 everyone that will be there has them i think it would be a blast!

I think Stock cars are in order , and as far as running F-1 on the flat track, I think it's a great idea. Lets take a vote on race day and go with what everyone wants. Bob

Open at ? what classes at what time? I'm running out for time to get ready for the R4 but i'd like to come. 60 hr. work week is killing my time to build do you think they would mind if I pluged in my iron at my desk?

No problem with whatever the majority would like regarding track choice for F-1 but let's take an online straw poll so the Bill can have the proper tracks prepared and the early arrivals can practice the correct cars on the correct track. Put me down for voting the whole day stays on the corner climb.

Lately opening has been 11:00 AM but with the hoped for larger crowd let's see if we can negotiate 10:00. How about for a proposed class selection/schedule - Stockers (but keep it short ) F-1 (probably with a round robin) Can- Am (how about we qualify just to get the feel since some of us are treating this as an R-4 warmup) and if there is any interest Retro-Pro or Flexi.

Iron might not be a problem but the Dremel and tire grinder might be an issue :laugh2: :laugh2:

The corner climb is fine with me also if thats what everyones thinking. I agree with rick nascar short heats and f-1 and can -am . I havent worked on flexi or anglewinder the last two weeks so im out for those. Most of my cars are ready for the r-4 but i will have some cars ready for sunday put us down for three racers . The last time i talked to bob kurkowski he wanted to come race with us again so i will try to get ahold of him.

John,

Thanks for posting the pics.

If you would like you can put captions with them.

I will add the results as soon as I get the print outs of the official race results. Then I will post all the final series points standings.

The Winners of Race 6 were.

Retro-Flexi. Brandon Jarman JK C-11 chassis
Can-Am. John Miller Miller/Warmack chassis
F-1. Bob Foster VanPeenen/chassis
Retro-Pro. John Miller VanPeenen/chassis

It looked like a Cap Henry sweep of Can-Am, F-1, and maybe Retro-Pro. But with Cap missing the last two Races it turned into the Rich Attee/ Big Mike Chmielewski show. With Mike taking the Can-Am series title and Rich bagging the F-1, Retro-Pro, and Retro-Flexi, and the overall series title.

We did not have an official constructors championship. But it would have been VanPeenen chassis. I think we will have to have on next time.

Thank you to everyone who raced with us during the first MRRA Retro Racing Series. Hope to see you all and even more racers in our next Series.

See ya at the races.
