I was surprised to see the whole thread in the deleted pile.
It sure wasn't me.

I have inquired with our moderators of the why this thread was locked. Not a clue either. I do not see anything wrong with it.

No one has fessed up, so I moved the thread out of the trash can back into 1:1.

You forgot Jungle Jim and Pam.

Gee, for all the mystery, I was expecting something much worse. The whole thread's startin' to look like a PR stunt now...

Wow, how times've changed--I mean, Pam would cut her hotpants differently today, but it's Jim's look that got to me: he and I are both of that generation who, it seems, went directly from BAD hair to--none. Sad.

For a while they were the hottest act on the road, seen it with my own eyes. Prudolhme and McEwen did good too. Funny Cars were King! :)

United we stand and divided we fall, the Legends are complete.
I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.

Don't forget the "two guys" that would kick butts, sell the car right after it won and come back with another new car and kick butts and win again.............

As a little kid in the 70's most of my brothers friends had Mopar's. I remember the first time I really looked at his one friends AAR Cuda' and noticed that the rear drums were painted I thought it was the greatest thing. I begged my parents to let me buy a Testors paint so I could paint the rear wheels on my Big Wheel like the AAR.

Two of my favorites are actually street racers. Read page 107 for Jim Addison's Silver Bullet Coronet. One of the best would be Big Willie Robinson's Daytona with an acid dipped body, setback motor and a Kieth Black Hemi.

My dad has told me LOTS of stories about the Hemi Under Glass car driven by Bob Riggle. They used to hangout around the Bissman house in Mansfield, Ohio. Pretty popular model as well.

Gotta wonder if "Street Racers Inc" or the "Brotherhood of Street Racers" were funded by drug or prostitution money back then? ;)
