I am not totally against running the Parma track. In fact I love the idea and wish the option had come up when I was searching for a 10th track and found Jordi in Spain. (Tested and approved, thanks Pablo)

But! The points system is set up for 10 tracks only. The more races that take place, the more deluted the points system becomes. That is also something to think about. Options could be we drop one of the remaining tracks somewhere to keep the total 10 or maybe I am over thinking this?

I had a few laps on that track last year when I was down there for the vintage meeting. It's just as good as it looks.

The original 1989 Worlds MTT flat track was 165" and had a 45' X 35' footprint. Not really sure how big the above track is?

Besides Jairus' good point, everyone needs to consider that the longer the series lasts... the more cars are going to fall by the wayside. Personally, I don't really care and if my car smokes, that will be as far as it got. Still, running a series this long is going to take it's toll... especially with the vintage motors these cars are running!

At 56 meters it would figure out to slightly over 182 feet.

That's the biggest issue with this Proxy race using vintage brush hardware on most of the Mabuchi motors is the huge handicap. Even with stock arms the stock Mabuchi hardware is barely enough, throw in a mild rewind and you have exceeded their limits. What is this on dead Mabuchi motors... four or five so far now with Brian's... The larger the track the more it will become a factor.

Yeah... maybe we could do a special one-race proxy and run on that track some time huh? Mura B-cans, scratchbuilt frames, and Thingie bodies... what a combination. :D

I too totally agree with Barney on using "modern" hardware on the older endbells, a very unfair advantage, to ones who didn't, seeing as if "Everyone" who has rewinds would've used them, we would have many less motors burning due to older, poorer-designed endbell hardware.

For us stock motor guys it's not as big a problem, though a few of the older "stock" motors have had hardware troubles, too.

JMO, OK?

Now that would be one cool race! you'd need to line up a bunch of top-shelf drivers because those cars would be a heavy-handful!

Bob, we have 10 races scheduled right now if we still intend on running back at Chicagoland on the King.

However, I have been strongly considering having the 9th race at Route 93 and then sending them back to me for one last chance at Z-force raceway. Two reason, first I planned on an equal amount of short tracks (relatively) and long (King) tracks. To add Parma throws off the curve giving the faster cars an advantage. Second reason is that I can then inspect the cars, award final points and mail all 25 home.
This would mean eliminate Chicagoland (sorry Mike) and send the cars directly to Route 93 after the U.K... and later back to Salem where this circus all started.

We can do Parma next Proxy.

I like this idea Jairus! I would even call a road trip up to help with the race and pick up Oscar's and my cars..... This would be my vote!

Just spotted this.

Depends when it was scheduled to happen. Steve set it up for a work day so I assume they will race after work. Being that it is just about Noon there on Tues..... will prob. happen while we are dreaming.
Yes, the cars are there.
