Thanks John, thanks Jairus.
I may have my wheels sorted also.
Lets build, build, build.

PS, This may be a daft question, but in the back of John's photo (top left) is a Rehco (I think) U-bracket. When this bracket is soldered on top of .062 piano wire what is the approximate wheel/tyre diameter needed to comply with the .062 clearance rule...Anybody?

Did some work on my car Friday. Ready for track testing again on Tuesday.
Brass gussets added to the front axle to strengthen it from wall hits and lower the nose weight. Going to try some laps with and with-out the removable weight. Also cut the can to get some airflow going, swapped the arm for a #26 single and dropped the gear ratio to 4:1.
No name for this machine yet.

I could have done this by PM to John, but thought it'd be nice to announce publicly that my motor arrived today, and what a tidy little thing it is too. I can't seem to put it down, and keep having to give the arm a little turn just to feel it resisting. Nice.
Thanks so much John H.
Al
PS, its a bit redder in the flesh than John's photo shows.
