A little late in the game to be testing, ain't it ???
I sincerely hope you guys are not changing the cars after they have been seen and approved.....because that would be cheating.
Next thing you'll have us doing is burning down armatures to check the winds!!! This is for FUN, is it not??? Let's not get too serious about winning here.
Heck, the only reason I entered is that it brought back memories of the article I read as a kid in MCS and I remembered the shape of the bodies made a big impression on me way back in the late 60's.....Just wanted to build a car . You can DQ me at the starting line if you'd like!
So much DRAMA for such small cars....
Mike Kravitz
Don't DQ me for having the wrong SHADE of orange on my McLaren... after all, it's ONLY a toy car!!!

First off, My car is now to be known as X-calibre, as this seems to be a popular name. She has no number as the number is 'X'.
Secondly, as I am outside of the US I have put X-calibre in the mail, regardless of whether or not it recieves any challenges. It can always be disqualified at the start if it does, but I'd love to see it run in this field.
Thirdly, As I am not a member of any club locally where I could do any testing, nor am I a driver of any skill (the reason why I so love proxy races), I have sent her off untested (save for testing that the wheels turn in the forward direction). She can be run as is and will have to take her chances. But I would ask very nicely (and only if it doesn't upset anyone) if Randy couldn't give her a run for a few laps prior to qualifying, just to see if she is actually worthy to run in this series, and check for any glaring problems.
Finally, Jairus, is the entry fee $30 or $40? I can't quite remember. I'll get the cash to you asap.
very excited,
Al.

My car is also "untested" as my local raceway is still currently rennovating the big Englemen track.
I have entered spiritually and don't expect to accomplish much against this loaded field of fierce competitors.
BTW, I am impressed by the total depth and quality of this field of Choti's!

I received two emails this morning. Jens is dropping out due to family and work obligations. He says that the tried his darnedest to get the chassis built, but time is not on his side.
Edo is having the same problem, but promises to have the car posted tomorrow morning.
Bob Israelite, where is your car?

"well im in this thing& i'll make a comment,,,,,you guys that are LATE building and getting
ALL your parts together STILL,youve had at least 3 months to get the car together,,,
youre lucky Jairus is SO LAX on the time limits,,,,,,,
we've all had the same amount of time to get your car together,
some of us have, and its the pits having to wait FOR EXCUSE MAKERS
that need more time,,,,
GIT ER DONE,or wait til the next one,,this is BS,,,
and Mr. Isrealite,i hope when you finally enter,ITS ALL WITHIN THE RULES,.,cause if not,,,
I WILL BE 1 TO CALL YOU OUT,,youre being a real PIA,
grow up and get your $h!t together,son ! "
Tom Scott's Choterrari #19 is in the mail, en-route to San Jose.
#19 made all the deadlines and did everything according to Jairus' Rules.
Those of you who waited until the last minute to gain an advantage by the ability to see all the entries,
and not giving enough time to be challenged as per Jairus' Rules,
Shame on you, and I hope #19 car laps you repeatedly.
Mike K. your comment on having your arm check for windings is a very poor analogy, since there are no restictions on arms in this race. I do see your point, though.

So hold out on the call out cracks to this PIA 'son' and take a look at the born on date of the Swamp Buggy (8/23/13). Why don't I have all the components yet ? ... cause "I CAN('t)"
BTW: don't take this as a tizzy, just the facts of real life. Now...Put that in your can and smoke it

Didn't quite make it to the track the other day but the car ran really well the previous time and fixing the guide flag probably cured the wobbly guide syndrome anyway. So I will be posting my car to Randy in a day or two.
We have all the cars posted that are going to be running. 20 at last count with 2 that are missing bodies.
I will add the pics soon as Noose is finished with his artistic brilliance.
However anyone wants to track test is welcome to use the next week to do so but be sure to have the international cars into the mail ASAP, with the domestic cars mailed out no later than Monday the 24th to ensure delivery in time for a photo shoot and race to follow.
Ordering the shirts tomorrow and hope to have them all out in the mail on the 24th.
Thank you all for taking part in this proxy race. I think its been more exciting than the last one mostly due to the scratch-building factor. But I have heard from some who say the rules were too vague and therefore they wanted to sit this one out.
Well, to those who choose to not take part.... you have a second chance.
A slot blog member emailed me last week asking if the cars could be sent to his track next. We talked and he has volunteered to host another race on two East Coast tracks. Same rules and the current cars will be sent home for the holidays and adjustments or rebuilding/motor swapping etc. So if anyone wants to take part the official announcement will follow after the second race is finished. I plan to send my car regardless if I have to completely redesign it. (I'm thinking floppy pans next)
I love this stuff!
Okay, keep your eyes looking up and the guide in the slot!

If the Ball's Out Proxy extends to a couple more races on the East Coast, then I am IN! I commit now to that second tour as these cars are too cool not to have them appear in more US slot track venues.

Excellent news J, I'm definitely in for Balls-Out II. But I take it that this will be an entirely new series not an extension of Balls-Out I ?

Hey Oscar, that is exactly why mine got built they way it did. I was just saying to my friend Pablo the other day, mine would not probably fair well against the floppies.
