Haruki, get well soon, there will be plenty of Checkpoint Cups to race at in your future. Your inspiration is evident, as many of the chassis that we ran today were based on the Kamo chassis that you raced and showed us. Hope all goes well, and that you get back to feeling 100 % soon.

The "hand out" motors are for only Can Am and F-1? None for Coupe or needed for 1/32 correct ?
Posted 03 January 2013 - 11:44 AM
Gary,
Yes, correct, no Falcon motors, just TSR for the Parma Checkpoint Cup in Can-Am and F1, all handout.
The reason is because the Falcon 7 as you know it no longer exists as its supply is exhausted and the remaining inventory is already spoken for. It will by March 1st, be replaced by an upgraded model that will not be SCRRA or IRRA legal. While it can be used in local retro series at the need of each organization, the new Falcon motor is mostly designed for use in angle-winder Flexi or other types of chassis.
The SCRRA will only use the TSR motor, of which technology is frozen.
Tim,
Yes. However they will be scrutinized before and after the races. Please refer to the new SCRRA "claim" rule, where a motor may be protested and torn down as needed.

Thanks PDL, sounds good.
The intent of my question was to get confirmation that handout motors will be available Friday when the track opens and that these motors are usable in both CanAm and F1, as was done at the Summer Western Classic race. Because this procedure was new for that race and I wanted to make sure it had not changed.

Yes, they will be, so that everyone has a chance to break them in and install them properly. Cars (both Can Am and F1) must be submitted to tech body off, and racers must put the body back on the car at the tech table.
The motors will be sold at the counter by the raceway owners, who will dip in the box and supply the motors randomly.

I just checked. There is no WiFi at BPR at this time because there is no wireless router. There was WiFi but it was shut down because someone was downloading some not-so-legal stuff and it came back to the ownership.
