Hi Lee! Yeah, forgot to mention that. Prob a few burnt table tops anyway from smokers. Smoke from soldering guns is exempt from the no-smoking law in motel rooms, cuz I said so :laugh2:

While I am kept in bed at the hospital, Kamo-san has kept building Kamo-Can-Am's for us & our Team Tokyo racers in the States.

I will be home within a week, joining him to prepare for the Cup.

Ohh no. Telling JJ to bring shorts is like offering a gas can to a candle. We tried to warn you, Bry, we really did.

Hey John,

The last time I ran Anglewinder Coupe the gearing was 8/39 64 pitch. That should be a good starting point for you.

I don't think 8:39 will cut it on the flat track, try 11:37 rather, or 12:42 in 72DP.

Duran can probably drive with all those brakes from 10:39!

I have run 10:37 quite well often, but for me the 12:42 72DP works best.

Yep, this is sounding pretty good. A lot of East coast racers coming out maybe? That would be nice! See you guys in Dec for a warm-up race or two. And some much needed practice! As Tim Neja says; "Lets race!" This is going to be awesome.

Seems like we have a span of 3.5 to 3.9 to 1. Thats a decent range to work with. As Im not a big flat track guy, I think the 10/39 will be easier to drive.....

John, many of us have been using 64p  and 11/38 or 12/39 with a falcon 7.   Just FYI,

First of all, I would like to thank you all for your warm well-wishes for my recovery.

I am still in hospital for heart problem since November 26 but feeling very well now.

On Tuesday I will take a close examination of heart, then being released from hospital on Thursday or Friday if the result is OK.

I am very sorry to inform that I have decided not to race at the coming Checkpoint Cup.

Kamo-san & other Tokyo racers have also decided not to race at the Cup.

Physically, I think I could make it to the Cup but my family is worrying about my health.

After released from hospital, I will redesign my plan to race in the States after March.

Keep racing,

Haruki
