The Rock Hall was notified the 'Flaming Thingies' were coming to town

Our organizer of this series Steve Kempson gets a little 'special' treatmant

i will have to admit, Steve did come up with a great idea for this years 'theme' of Flaming cars. over on FB we have Flaming Tuesdays! and some of the pictures we have all contribute are really fascinating.

my teammate, friend, and driver to the Rock Hall, Kevin Cosgrove reminded me of this memorial to the Cleveland Firefighters that have lost there Life battling these flames of destruction.Really felt we need to honor those men & women.

The last stop on the city tour was at the Great Lakes Science Center, Only because these cars are out of this world!

REM Raceway would like to personally Thank all the drivers for letting us take your cars around town and around the
Racetrack. Dont forget the Drag Racing portion of the program will take place on 7-11-13 and the actual race on the silky smooth highbanks of REM will be on 7-13-13!

Best Of Luck to Everyone! :)

This should be a good round!

Interesting results. :good:

Well done to Andy, Mike Z, and Evil Minnows for the podium.

Also, well done to Pablo's lightweight for equalling quickest E.T. (0.746) and making top MPH (33.62).

Thanks to Brian and the REM guys.

Verrrrry odd drag racing format. 2 different lane preps and burnout proceedure made for an unusual race. Are the results posted anywhere?

Results are posted on Facebook under the event thread. I suppose it's possible Steve will update everything here??

Prior to anything you seen broadcasted all the cars had been run down the track. Some required the cleaning of tires and different lane preps then others. The drivers made little notes on the cars that would tell them the differences.

Nothing Odd about it all!! Other then a Thingie NON DRAG car being run down a drag track.

In other words, what you seen take place in about 45 minutes to run was actually done in 3 hours!!

More behind the scenes then what was aired.

So Team Last Minute Men (.762 32.22) obviously went up against a fast car in the first round,

ultimately getting 11th place with an ET better than P6 -P10, losers in the 2nd round.

How was it determined what car they went up against in the first round ?

Silly system.
But, that's American Drag Racing I guess.

Maybe we should draw lots on who wins the whole thing? I'd prob have a better chance that way...  :laugh2:

I thought in drag racing, cars qualify, and are seeded.

1 vs.16, 2 vs. 15, 3 vs.14, etc, so it's gives the best chance of a 1-2 match-up in the last round, assuming those cars continue to run well.
