Wow,I am surprised at the change in the car... That was an early Rgeo bracket, but there may indeed have been an issue with the bushings, since that bracket originally had a 1/8" axle & was changed to 3/32 at the last minute... It had maybe a half dozen Laps on it before it went out... I suspect the nose piece being tweaked when I drilled the big hole in it didn't help either. However it handled well in its initial outing with 1/8 axle, '69 Talladega body, & weighing 155 gms... I could just send another chassis...

If Mr. Zimmerman would be so kind as to swap my 8T motor for the provided 7T for these tight tracks, it would be appreciated......is that legal, Steve-a-roonie ? The 7T motor is 100% ready to be installed, just screw in, and snap on the wire connectors, no soldering needed.

I hope that kind of change is not allowed unless there is a motor failure.

Message for you in my previous post, Mr W.
"Nice one, Pablo! Go 'til they blow is our motto here."

In all kindness, what you're suggesting amounts to a fresh motor and change of gear ratio on the car, lest we forget, that won the previous round. I don't think John would be the only one complaining if this went ahead. There are more fast tracks coming up for you, Pablo.

The cars left Ohio via FedEx on Monday and a three day delivery was promised. Cost - very reasonable indeed.
Many thanks to Brian (and Bud) for all they've done for us.

8 Days until Round 7!
Regards,
Steve-a-roonie Kempson

Thanks for posting these, Gary. Glad you had fun.
Reports on the car's performances would be great too, along with the photos if you can?

Congrats to Team Weldon/Walker on the win. Graham and Steve will be very happy.
Good results too for Rod Morrison, Ray Fellows and Ben Kernan. Sorry to see some of the fast track specialists slip down a few places but that's all part of the game in these long series. Finding the right compromise in set-up isn't an easy matter.

Mike Z's family health problem is slowly improving, which is great news. One more round in the St Louis area and then it's off to the newly refurbished UK Black track at Washington Slotcar Club.

We're past the halfway point in the series now. Hoping for some more fun before long.

Well done chaps. :good:

19 laps difference over the field seems a lot closer than previous races.

Did all of the cars get through unscathed?
