Thanks, Paul E. the Unlimited is coming along, wheelie bars are on and I made a few passes today. The motor has a lot more torque then I'd like, might have to put a governor on it!!!
Paul B., this is the parts lay out so far, more photos to come as I finish 'er up.
Altered, Comp Coupe, and Rail ran good, only a few minor tweaks needed. Gasser is being a real PITA, that Kemtron is stuck in slow gear. Motor change???

BillB, That car is way out amazing, fantabulous design and workmanship. I'll take a special picture of it on the track
What do you think ... it'll do a .7xx E.T. @ 75 MPH
Did you want us to just go ahead and have your name put on the plaques?
With that 8 Shot Revolver endplate ... right before the 'trigger' gets pulled it's going to be like..... "Go ahead make our day"
I can't wait to drive it ... Thanks Bill ...

I don't know ... Joe ... I got dual RAM 426 Made in the USA motors in mine ...
.... don't cross the center line if you get out front first with those Kamakazi- Zero-6v motors.
The "Fans" are going to love this match race

Thanks to you all!!!
I try to build something different each time, not much planning just start building and see where it goes. Sometimes they do... sometimes they don't.
Paul B. the motor that I got the arm and end bell from was a small round can design. Less then a inch in diameter and about 1-1/4" in length. There were no manufacturer markings only made in Japan. The neo's are 1/8" thick by 1/2" square and I believe they came from Emovendo or Super Magnet Man. You should be able to find that size on ebay.
Bob I. No .7's, first have to get it down track, tire spin and shake is a problem!!! Haven't found the right combination yet.
You want to drive!!! .........OK as long as you have a crash helmet

Ok, my Stable is ready t o be shipped ! Here are my oldies-but Goodies.
The Aluminum Car ( 5 pole arm red wind, and Brass frame, 5 pole arm green wind, are both Ebay catches from way back and are "As is" except for tires, A driver for Brass and some home made decals. These 2 cars have run in a previous proxy race.
The other is a RePop chassis assembled with Ebay stuff, 7 pole arm, red wind.
Tires are all As vintage as I could find. All Motors are standard bushing, all Axles BBs.
It's gonna be Fun !! (the Master will not be running )

Nice lineup - and the padlock is a great touch! It might even be faster than some of my rods... Well, at least it won't jump out of the slot!

Man, theres some fine looking machinery heading down to Gator land
Well, it finally went down the track under it's own power. However my test track is 20" of Revell plastic track with a vintage 1 amp transformer. Pleased with the results although this car needs about a quarter mile to get going to do the quarter mile
It may be coming down in prime and you guys will have to live with that. Daughter getting married in three weeks and the fire drill is on
So much fabbing and fiddling it takes so much time. Originally the chassis was going to be under the plastic chassis but it sat too high. Now it's inside the plastic chassis which means I did a lot of work for nothing but that's how it goes.
Here are the guts. Leads will be shortened, they are at test length. I soldered them directly to the brush caps to prevent them from turning during racing. A common Kemtron problem. I cut out the middle of the interior as I wanted to retain it for the dash and to hold everything together. I made a faux interior floor out of styrene to trick the eye. Some details just may have to go undone as I have the rail to finish as well. Remember that every "slot" part I use ( including any brass etc. ) with the exception of lead wire is at least 40 years old. Many of the parts are recycled. Just doing my part to save the earth.

Thanks for the thumbs up Paul,
Bob, great artwork! I love the smell of Nitro in the morning
Thanks, Bob
I'm running a 37 tooth crown and a 12 tooth pinion.
Mainly because those are the only vintage gears I had here that there were two of each
I come up with a 3.08 ratio. Would have maybe have liked to be closer to 4 to1 but it is what it is.

Looks good, Bob.
I am as done as I am going to get. Testing didn't go quite as well as I hoped, our new track is really grippy and tacky, even when cleaned, but I think I have 4 cars that will at least go down the track. So I will hopefully get everything shipped out tomorrow...

Did you fab those rear end brackets?

Bob, the "65" looks great. Is that axle smaller than 1/8"?
OK, more drama, I figured if I sent the car down in prime the oily fingerprints etc. would have it looking like crap in no time. I grab my can of Tamiya TS-21 gold and start spraying. PFFFFFTTTT is what the can emits. The finish looks like the hammered effect on an old Pitney Bowes adding machine.
The curse of GATOR BOB
OK, I go over it with some 4000 and she's now ready for paint again. No one in the area has Tamiya TS-21
I find a Hobby shop that has it and I drive 18 miles each way to get some. Now she's Gold and pretty smooth.
Thought you guys would get a hoot out of of this. Remember, everything 40 plus years old except lead wire. I dive into the aged " Joey bag-o-donuts " and pull out four. Thin and tall like the rear car.
Set them up on my ultra modern truer and there you go. Causes quite a load on the electrical grid when you switch her on though
By the way, the American Civil Liberties Union has asked me to remove that "Redskin" (actually Yellow ) or face serious jail time

Quite a story Joe, and I admire your persistence! I would have just changed the car's name to Pitney Bowes...
My MPC Ramcharger began to shed its decals without being touched, so I did quickly spray on some clear varnish, but it was an old Humbrol spray can, and I hope it actually does something. Anyway, if anything starts peeling off when handled, don't worry about it!
My three are going off Monday via FedEx, so should be there a day or two later... Bob, there's a Chevvy in there for you, plus a couple DC65 parts we had talked about - they're in the box with the Ramcharger.
Ooof! Now I can work on my cars for Bordo - only have a month to finish those... These dragsters really got me sidetracked, but it was a lot of fun. Wish we had a strip here to check them out, but I used my trusted K&F dynamometer, so I'm sure they'll be okay on the strip (that's a joke son - I used a little more lead this time, but hope somebody has some extra!).
The countdown begins!

Attempting to true up some Russkit 755 rears as I type .....
The 4 cars and regular rail are all 99.9% done just having tires trued, detailing of bodies and drivers & last minute screw & oil check .
Unlimited is at least coming together! With some major thrashing over the weekend they should all be sent out Monday
Although could be touch & go for the neo equipped rail .
Hopefully your cars will run lead free this year Don
