Geez Paul, if you run that 95 as an inliner, you might have to put an out rigger on the side from torqing over on itself!!
I know! That's what I'm worried about. But sidewinders (obviously) are the way to go, just wanna see *if* it will work inline

Looks great Paul.
Hope that arrow on the motor isn't referring to the motor direction.

A 9V battery might work as well.

Some procedure questions answered:
Q- Would I be able to drive any of these great cars?
A- Yes you can, just not your own car. We pick drivers from a hat, if you pick your own throw it back and pick again
Q-What tires work best on the track? Silicone, German Rubber, soft, hard............???
A- See Rule - Silicones are Not Allowed. Old german rubber works good as does modern rubber if your car is balanced right. Make sure you have modern graphite guide flags on your cars. Parma or Slick7
Q- Will the tree be set for both lanes to leave at the same time or will it depend on driver reaction time?
A- It's all about the cars. My motto here is "The Cars are the Stars" Drivers drive the cars off the light but reaction time or red lights don't matter. It is all about the ET and MPH any given car can run.

Looking for input on a 'ruling' from the community.
If the current rule reads:
===================
“Big 36D”
Run what you brung.
Mabuchi FT-36D set-ups only.
Maximum wheelbase of 11”.
===================
Would a motor like this appear to be in compliance?
Or should the rule have been:
===================
“Big 36D”
Run what you brung.
Mabuchi FT-36D set-up only.
Maximum wheelbase of 11”.
===================
My response to the question of legality was:
So... as a rule challenger My-Self and re-reading the simple rule.
It does Not say Single Endbell, Commutator or Stacks Only.
That would make it a "Legal Alien" in the BIG 36D class.
Under One condition - You must run it EBD ... LOL
Thanks for any input.

Seems to me that should be perfectly legal! How can you resist seeing one of those run?

Can I help with some input?
It is a *BIG* 36D, genuine Mabuchi 36D setup/parts just 36DD size
Yes but only members of DC-Punk can see that size...LOL

So True as it sure will be a " BigFun Factor" entry.
But ... there also was questioning of if the Exhibition classes of Unlimited or Multi-Motor might be a better fit.

Well wouldnt really be a 72DD ?
Posted 25 July 2017 - 10:34 PM
I think it's fine either way.

I think it's fine either way.
DC, you mean as long as PE switches the crown gear over.
Posted 26 July 2017 - 08:44 AM
Huh?? I really meant it could go in either class. It is such a neat piece of work we gotta have it somewhere.
BTW, how fast did the 36d cars go last year? The BIG ones?

I missed the joke, too early in the morning here...so if "big 36d" cars are allowed wheelie bars (ugh) is there an overall length max?
Posted 26 July 2017 - 10:22 AM
Today is 7/26/17.. my 13th 'Re-Birthday' ... so pardon... I'm off the 'Rails'
Not a member of the GOGS...(Grumpy Old Gits Society) as they would say on slotforum.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DC, wake up that humor, and for me... it's early in the morning here too.
There is no 'big36d' class .... only Big36DTM
On the wheeliebar length .. No Rule .. Run what you brung ...
Limit = what ever the distance is from the staring line to the backboard where the computer is. But, then the car will not be able to 'light'em up' in the bleach box.

Remember the unlimited/multi motor classes were or stipulate padlock tech ie. Laminations ..
Not worried what class it fits in, imagine it'd be fairer to run in big 36D ??
To me that class is essentially 36D **unlimited**
Of course I do ..
It'll be fairer for you to 'see my tail lights'
Not unlimited ... maybe '2' Unlimited. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no ,no ,no, no there's no limit

PE, I know you're a Punk and you might have heard this before but I will show No Mercy building my Big36D motor.
I only need to make 'one pass' then ka-boom

This was the 3rd and most likely last of it's kind made. Hopefully the other owners will post shots of theirs, built with aluminum end plates.
I...Got ...The ...Other .... One. na na na Na nan a
Mine is 'R' rated and the picture wouldn't last five seconds on here. I'll see if I can clean her off and post a pic.. If not expect a powered by Pitt Man car to show up in tech.
THANKS BoB.
BTW, I still didn't put power to it...
