The blocks and clamps are just temporary.
OK.
If you want to get your straightaways really smooth find some really straight 2x4s and clamp one on top on the outside edge and one on the inside edge. Use as long a 2x4 as you can. Put a clamp at every crossmember and then adjust your legs.

I worked a 16 hour day yesterday and finished up raising the King, and in the process, painting the legs.
A ton of work, but I'm real happy how it turned out.
The 90 came up quite a bit, and IIRC it's also now more banked.
With the straight section above it, that goes from the donut to the lead-on, not much higher, I lost some of my previous tall clearance, especially at black, going in.
I notched both sides and now regained it, and have even more access in spots.
The above pic is "going in".
The above is "coming out".
I left the walls off for now, until the braid gets finished being glued down, and I get all taps hooked up.
I also have to come up with a clear in at least part of the deadman, so guys on red and white can see their cars better.
Without something clear, most guys, and all kids, even standing on the red-white platform, will "lose" their cars.

Sounds like you might be turning this into another two-blip king. LOL.
I'm more concerned it's quirk-free. I think it will be the same or a tiny bit faster.
I doubt it will be a .1 quicker.
Well, I gotta say... the finger looks ballistic, and the 90 looks ridiculously fast. Only one way to find out!!!
Those are the two turns that look faster to me, but it could be just an illusion because they are higher up or the walls are missing.
The finger is now 18 and the ninety 14 degrees, max banking. IIRC they were originally 15 and 11, but I don't know for sure.
I'm pretty sure my OWH build thread with info is history.

The main reason I posted was he mentioned that he and his long time girlfriend, Karen, are getting married in early September.
Big congrats to Karen and Ricky.
They make a great couple.

For the first time on a King, she was real good.
I'm going to try to get my Wednesday night racers together to race Wednesday night to get some hard laps run on all the lanes.

I know the local racers would of liked to have seen me reopening sooner.
I could of been reopened at least two months earlier, but the King still would of been hard to marshal in spots, the braid on the flat track would of still been constantly coming up at ISRA races, and the the place would of looked like a sh*thole.
Anyway, I think racers will find it was worth the wait.
Big thanks to all who helped me move and get the place back together.

Yes. Edmalyn ran her Hardbody around yesterday while Brian was bolting up the pegboard and doing various other things.
For the first time on a King, she was real good.
I'm going to try to get my Wednesday night racers together to race Wednesday night to get some hard laps run on all the lanes.
Sounds good Mike, I'll see if I can get the racing team assembled for Wednesday night. School night for Jake, but we'll see if Mom will make an exception this one time.
I've not met Edmalyn yet, but is Brian OK with you talking about running her Hardbody around the place.
