I have subscribed to this magazine back in November (4/3/15 to be exact) through PayPal...should I have received issue #4 by now?

Don, thanks! I didn't know that about the other side of Global Shipping. Once the mailing permit gets approved (I think it's a year wait, I'll check on that this week), it should be easier to do.
As for some subs that haven't been received, I think I had a major brain fart.
While under the knife (yes, that sob story, again) in November, and for December also, I may not have gotten all the new subscriptions entered.
I did a search of Ed's name, and another one, and nothing shows in my emails, but, the records are there online.
So yes, I Scooby Doo'd, again, but heh, what do you expect from me :-). I know, I know, the "oh poor baby pity me line...." :-)
I'm going through all the November-December online orders, to make sure I do have them all, and will send the copies out as soon as I get the leftover print copies from Denver (another long boo-ho story there, again...)
Nope, not going away.
Sorry to disappoint the nay-sayers :-)

Ed, and a few others, I really messed on this.
Doing some checking, it looks like I didn't update/input new subscribers for that time under the knife, November-December 2015.
Mah oh man.
I will make it right.
As soon as I get the extra copies from the press/printer, I will mail them out to y'all (is that the right spelling?)
Sorry about this.
Not good, I know.
Thanks for your patience, and of course, your support.
I did have a good talk with Greg Wells the other day.
Lots of great ideas went back and forth.
Stay tuned!!!!

Contrary to popular belief, I am human, and I make misteaks, lots of them!
Glenn, this was a big one, one that I kept on doing wrong, like a dog running around in circle chasing its tail, coming to find out, it's one of those dogs without a tail...
I know, bad analogy.
If anyone's curious what happened, Glenn sent an address change, way back when, I had flagged it, put it in the right folder to follow up on, and then, duh, forgot to check the folder to follow up with.
Simple misteak, should not have happened, but it did.
I kept on sending him copies to the old address, not knowing, or remembering, there was an address change, and since I have taken 24 years to get the next issue out, well, yups, memory ran out, and this happened.
But, all is good now, I hope.
Issue #5 is waiting for me to do final touches, and it will be at printer, very soon, week maybe?
Thanks everyone, for your patience, support, and understanding

Boy, I'm a sucker. I paid for the "Lifetime" subscription. Never received issue 4 or anything else. I guess he meant "not in this lifetime".

People, I GAVE UP! I subscribed for two years of Slots and one year of Models, and I've only received a constant flow of Models. My main interest is with the Slots publication, but I've grown tired of complaining. I feel like I've been ripped-off in some type of Ponzi scheme! Greg even stated that he would return my subscription fee, it never happened, partly due to my decision to receive the publications. I would like to obtain the magazines I paid for, but I guess that if I want to get them, I'll have to buy them again, NOT!!!!

I have my own concerns my friends.
Voiced them on Monday this week and he didn't fire me.
But Gregg is off line right now attending a model car show in Atlanta over the weekend.
So hopefully he'll respond later.

He travels to car shows all over the country in order to cover them for the model car mag. He's done that for the last 20 years Mike.

I know that many of us are truly interested in supporting the Stots mag, but I feel that Gregg's actions show that he has used our interest to take advantage of us! There isn't but one question to be answered, WHY AREN'T OUR SUBSCRIPTIONS BEING FILLED? And don't give the same answer that your back and no other part of you is in pain! I heard that one already! I've gone back and reviewed all my open and PM discussions with Gregg, and I can only conclude that I (and others that subscribed in advance) were used to finance his personal needs, whatever they may be! It makes no sense at all to me that there is such a large amount of people complaining about not getting their mags. If I was told that my mags were shipped to me, then I would take the next step and complain to the postal service, but all I've gotten is excuse after excuse as to why they haven't gone to press, how much it cost to start-up new mags etc., etc. Now I get my "fix" from another online publication (SLOT MODS) that is free, very informative, and on time every month! I hate to be bitchin, but I hate even more to be ripped off! And NO, I don't want a refund, I want what I paid for, along with Gregg's offer to provide all that had paid subscriptions an extra year of mags! He must be a politician, lots of promises that he never intends to keep!! I'm done for now please excuse me for my ranting, but every time that I see people still complaining about not getting their mags, I have "flashbacks" and go through this. Gregg, PLEASE get your sh*t together! Hopefully this post doesn't get me in trouble here at the Blog, but I guess I'll have to take that chance! If I get banned, Mr H, please continue with your work I will still look forward to seeing what you're doing. BTW, this post was made prior to my meds. kicking in, so if it seems a bit hostile I will apologize in advance to al!

John, you ought not to get banned or reprimanded by this board. After all, many issues of this magazine & it's subscriptions were sold through this site's postings..

What is most surprising is that he is in Atl. If I really wanted to make a slot car mag successful I would be in Highland Indiana this weekend with my camera and plenty of disc space. While the Midwest show may not be what it once was, it is still the biggest get together of slot car guys in America, maybe the world.
There is always two sides to any story, maybe we haven't heard the whole story.

You guys seem to have a very narrow vision of what is going on.
Model Cars Magazine was started in the late 1990's.
Gregg and sometimes I went with him, would attend some of the biggest shows all over the country for the readers of the mag every year!
What we did was photograph close to 300 high quality model builds and interview the builders.
This lead to MCM Car Show issue at the first of every year showing off only the best of the best in the model car community.
We would attend about 5 to 8 shows a year until his back started acting up and then we had to rely on local friends and others in the hobby to cover those fantastic shows.
If you think Slots are as big as model cars... you have big awaking coming.
The Static hobby is HUGE!
Slots only a fraction of the hobby market even while both are steadily shrinking.
But, Slot Cars mag sells only a fraction of the number of issues of Model Cars mag.
I never wanted Gregg to start this magazine, instead hoped he would add a few pages of slot stuff just like Car Model mag did back in 1963.
But he felt the divide was too wide between the two hobbies. A divide I have worked hard to close these last 25 years, but.... Gregg said no and instead started a second publication.
Good idea or bad is up to the historians, however, he still has the Model Car audience to please.
I am just grateful he is feeling good enough to go back to covering shows. Because his photography is first rate and the show coverage needed.

@Jarius, I see the difference in the two mags and the interest being greater in the Models mag, but what does that have to do with people that have paid for the Slots mag not getting what they have paid for? Is the situation one where you get what you paid for when time to publish it is available? I agree with you, even though there may have been a need/desire to fulfill the demand for a mag dealing with slot cars, it may have been better done by another person!!! Just my 2 cents, I know it isn't much, but it's mine!

I paid for a subscription and have received all the issues that have published so far. I am very pleased with the quality and content . As such,I am content to wait for the next issue . However long it takes.
We spend more money than this on dinner and drinks at one of the trendy chain restaurants. And we know what becomes of that . So everyone relax and be patient.

Sorry Sam, but your post isn't any consolation for the many people that have gotten screwed by Gregg so far.
I've seen his model car magazine at Barnes and Noble and it is really beautiful, and the one issue of the slot car magazine, I've seen, is top quality, also.
But he really needs to send them to all the people that have ordered them, and his "I live in Hawaii, and things go a little bit slower here", is really a poor ass excuse.

A few years ago I gave John Ford(SARN) my hard earned money and have received nothing. No how to book, no magazines, NOTHING. After a few unanswered correspondence I just write it off to " S#@t Happens '.
Let's give Gregg a chance to put this all together for us. Saying he screwed anybody is jumping the gun a bit.
