Subscribed last May - nothing to date - it's a write-off so far as I am concerned.

Well, it would be nice of the both of you to post here when you DO receive them in the mail. Please?
This issue was at great cost since the printer keeps raising the price of printing and mailing.

Better still, copy the pages and save them in .pdf format for easy transmission on the internet

In a very real sense, that is theft of intellectual property, at least certainly while the issues are fairly new. I'm not getting why the suggestion is even allowed here without any blowback (**except for Steve's post).

We are so used to sharing our 1960s articles. Having a present day publication is going to take some getting used to.
"If you have integrity, nothing else matters, and if you do not have integrity, nothing else matters."
Robert Mueller, special counsel (2013)
"... because people have got to know whether or not their president is a crook."
Richard M .Nixon, Nov 17, 1973
"Fool me once, same on... shame on you. Fool me... you can't get fooled again."
George W. Bush

I didn't mean to scan and post the complete magazine on the internet, but rather scan the article requested and email it to the requestor.
If the holder of a copy of the magazine sought didn't want to sell it, how can the information be passed on?
Surely that can't be illegal.

Then the majority of postings in Facebook and Pinterest are illegal in your mind?

It was so funny this morning when I opened my mail box and there was issue 5.
I am still missing 3 & 4.

Whatever the law says, with the overwhelming problems of this slot car magazine, I doubt if they would worry much about one person sharing an article with one other person. Probably they should worry about their own legal problems with offering subscriptions and not providing the subscribers with a magazine in a timely manner, or at all. Any bets on the timeline for issue 6 if there is one?
Great idea, just not viable today.

Nearly done Matt.
Depends on the publisher and whether the hobby shops and tracks pay the publisher for the issues sent. Thus far, it's been sketchy.

ok--how does that relate to subscribers that have already paid, they should receive what they have paid for. sounds like some tracks and hobby shops need to be cut off.
if I don't pay my obligations, I don't receive more of whatever I am not paying for.

Brian, if cash flow is a problem... it's hard to come up with the funds to print more issues.
Especially when the magazine is new.
Consider if you lost your job.
How would you pay your bills the next month?

nice story-but it doesn't fit. if I was out of work and had paid ahead, or set aside money for a rainy day, on my obligations, money wouldn't be an issue
on my debts. or if a subscription was paid for that money should have been set aside to cover those obligations for
the folks who had entrusted "the publisher". if cash flow is an issue, where was the planning to cover the lean times?

I can see all the problems with a really low production magazine, designed and written by a hobbyist or hobbyists friend. Much the same as all the slot car tracks owned and run by old slot racers. They have a great dream, but managing a real business is not the same as having a dream. It is too bad, we all wish it was a viable business, but apparently it isn't.

So basically you're saying I sent you money for a product, you sent my product to someone else, and now you're waiting for them to pay you AGAIN so you can send me what I already paid for.
This is a good explanation of your obvious cash flow problems, but it is NOT a reasonable excuse for not filling paid orders.
Rather than treating our money like a loan, perhaps you should go get a real loan and satisfy your customers. Without satisfied customers, you will certainly fail.
