just off your tagged location your only about an hour and a half from the track! we have a guy that comes up on friday nights to race a novice class from maryland!

We would love to have new faces even once in a while when your feeling adventurous on a sunday!

I raced there in the beginning of June at the Retro East event.  Close to 2 hours even with no traffic.  Sunday night coming home...???? LOL

Rich is right.  For inexpensive and readily available, the Revell Snap-Tite Ferrari Enzo is a killer body.

Definitely the best bang for the buck. These can be found in the $12 range and the Snap-Tite is easy to assemble with few parts. Below is an image of mine.

I like it when a dude has a car that might not be the fastest thing out there but the design is so bitchen that he runs it anyways.

Definitely not a "one-body" series.

Maybe there should be a minimum height rule...that way people run cool stuff like this instead of the lowest body they can find  :D

this is what I like about our body rules- we've raced a Batmobile, the Little Red Wagon, 1950's pick up truck, muscle and street cars from all eras, Tamiya Can-Am repros, and 1970's Porsches, small track stocker, 1960's Cobra, and more! and with even more comin'......guess we can call some of these cars Hardbody Thingies  :)

We had a great day of racing at The Race Place yesterday.  A fourteen car field was our best yet and everyone has picked up the pace as lap times continue to drop. The yellow Porsche is this weeks winner driven by yours truly.

your Porsche 962 handled perfectly!   and it is so light too.....now I have to figure out how to make my cars lighter, and still handle good- I have a lot to learn from you guys!   With 14 racers, we were able to race all 8 lanes, and that was very challenging- and a lot of FUN too!  Thanks for the great photos and race results.  The only thing missing in this race was our 2 Porsches racing together, so I could have compared the handling characteristics of both cars.

The Race Place will be closed for vacation time following this Sundays race, so lets all get there and have another good attendance this weekend.  Get your Porsche ready Glen! I hear there will be some new cars and possibly some new drivers joining us as well.  Two weeks off, I think I'm going to go into withdrawal! Lol.  Besides the Hardbody class The Race Place hosts other race classes on various days on a weekly basis.  Check out their website ( if you have not already ) http://www.raceplaceinfo.com/  for schedules, rules, and other special events.  We will be also starting this years annual three track points series soon.
