This weeks Hardbody race was a perfect warm up for The Race Place's inaugural Hardbody challenge race that followed immediately after. Martin's consistency thru the race earned him a first place finish, congrats Martin !!! Proving that consistency trumps my inability to realize I should be on the track (not marshaling) along with the antics between Kurt and I (sorry Kurt). Here's this weeks results...
1 Martin Dixon
2 Max Mohring
3 Chuck Malave
4 Al Hernandez
5 Kurt Mansfield
6 Carl Paterson

The Panoz is a 1/24 Carrera body. You can find the complete 1/24 Carrera car on the auction sites. It's not presently on their catalog.

Thanks Rich, I'm always happy to lend out my cars to a fellow racer. The Olds is tall, bulky and loooooooong. A five inch chassis easy! A little on the heavy side with all the flake and clear but super fun to drive. I dig the nostalgia style and metal flake.

This looks like a seriously fun series, Joey---I'm 700 - 800 miles away, so I'll probably never make it up there to race, unfortunately...
I am curious if there are any Jag XJR-5/7 (the cut-off is 1985, back---right?) bodies that are available & eligible for this?... Just in case a big windfall of money and time comes my way---Thanks---John

The cut off for this class is 85 back HOWEVER we are running a challenge class also a thread here on the forum that allows for any body and a more open chassis choice with a much stronger motor package =) all good stuff

Rich, I have built and raced this same exact body ('67 Chevy, look at earlier posts and pix) in our H&R Hard Body class and copied your brass pans, which have been added to all of my cars- they work great! I soldered mine directly to the sides of the H&R chassis. I enjoy racing this car, even with it's long length and heavy weight. It may not compete with the smaller and better handling "race car" bodies, but it does well when racing against other street cars. I added decals to make mine look more like a Vintage Nascar, hoping that some more racers will decorate their street cars into Nascars.
