Willy,

Sure have. Someone wanted some painted. Had to order them direct since my local raceway was unable to get them. Why so defensive? LOL.

Dilworth bodies are readily available through me as his distributor - Retro or Jail Door and have been for years.

Your local raceway refuses to carry O/S bodies. Everyone knows this. If they don't I'll make sure they do.

I'm assuming your local track is Tom Thumb. I've personally brought boxes of O/S bodies in the door to Mike that he ordered direct from Ron. So, if you say your raceway is unable to get them I must ask when is the last time your raceway contacted Ron to order?

Every member of the IRRA BoD except one has ordered bodies direct from Ron before and received them.

So tell me why O/S bodies are being singled out? They're readily available through Eagle and REH.

There are five companies listed in the announcement in post one... please explain just how O/S is being singled out?

The bodies should be available for raceways to purchase, bottom line. In the past when I tried looking for O/S bodies picking where either slim or none here in New England and the reason was the raceways could not get them. Whether it was because they were not available through a distributor or through Ron directly I am not sure. The bottom line problem remains, the bodies were not available.

As for the other manufacturers bodies, I can't remember the last time I saw them raced or requested by racers so I think it was a good move by the BOD to tighten the list up.

Willy,

Guess you missed the post above from Jim HT noting Eagle did not.

A raceway here contacted Eagle two days ago and was told they did not have any nor does ERI and Crawley won't do business with O/S. Same raceway owner was then told by someone he should have ordered direct.

ORS and R4. I did not race them this summer as the only ones were to far away and I was swamped at work.

Greg,
The other companies are out of business or don't support Retro. So they are good from the argument

Apparently he chooses not to. It's his business.

So it's his choice. That's the point. It's not that he can't he chose not to. Not the same as being unavailable to raceways.

True. But that has been many years ago. And also before all of the stories about supply issues, extremely long delivery delays, and being ignored when trying to contact O/S. Are the stories true? Don't know because I have decided not to stock O/S bodies any longer. That's no secret.

If we are going to discuss this be sure of your facts. Eagle has nothing but several year old O/S bodies that nobody wants. Not a single Ti22 and only one F1, a Marta MS80. ERI has nothing. Crawley has nothing. I checked. Most told me they couldn't remember the last order from O/S it has been so long.

If you have decided not to sell O/S bodies that's your choice. Local guys like Josh are bypassing you and ordering direct with no issues. So, whose fault is it that they unavailable? The manufacturer or the raceway owner who chooses not to stock product?

I've got a large box of O/S bodies that I purchased/won as race prizes over the years. Most are F1s, but there are some Can Ams. If anybody would be interested in buying them, I'd sell the whole box for $25 plus shipping. PM me for a list if you're interested..

You are exactly right Ralph. Tom Thumb wouldn't have them even if I could buy them everywhere. My choice. But from the look of the tech sheets it hasn't made much difference in sales. North of 90% are NOT O/S bodies. That seems to be the racers choice.

What is the world is a Dilworth? I have never heard of such a body. I can only imagine it resembles a dill pickle? Do any raceways in the South carry this body?

I am thankful for the IRRA and what they do. This rule ia a miss though. It is never too late to right a wrong.

The top racers at the ORS with exception to a few run O/S bodies. An O/S body won F1 at the R4 this year. Retropalooza in Can-Am and won F1 and Can-Am at the opener for the ORS. Not to mention when was the last time a non O/S body won an F1 race at the ors? Had to have been Cap at some point as he uses Parma exclusively.

So they are used and they seem to win or the drivers that win seem to choose them a lot.

He couldn't get them, or doesn't want to get them?

According to what he just posted it's because he doesn't want them.
