Jim got me setup with basically everything I needed, my first buid was an X25 kit which came out pretty good, my maiden race with it was in Coupe at Port Jeff and got into the B Main with it so I'm pretty happy with that.
The second in the pic is more of a scratch, Chicago nose, rear plate and 1" bracket. Not as neat as I would have liked but not bad so far, I think LOL. Still some bracing to be done and the pin tubes added. If it doesn't perform I'll try again.
Any and all comments are welcome, thanks.

Charlie- Good work
- what nosepiece is that?
- the guide tongue might benefit from a reinforcer.

Hey Bill,thanks.
Thats a Chicagoland nose, it was nice and flat and true as were the other Chicago parts on the build.
Yea , its no where near finished, have to do the bracing , pin tubes, bearings.
Im really getting into this building side of the hobby, a little difficult at times, but it will get easier with each one.
Thanks again

I have the car ready to go on the track. Don't know when that will happen yet. I might try it at Bill's or Marcus's.

The kit comes with the side pans, the front guide/axle piece, the small brass rectangular pieces at the rear, the center piece, and the motor bracket. The chassis built fairly easily with no issues with the brass pieces.
Main rails: .062", two each side.
Tri-pod rails: .047", one each side.
Pan hinges: .032" (doubled in the front).
RTR weight: 135 grams as pictured.

I got a chance to practice with the stock car chassis shown above. This new chassis (TonyP kit) was a little looser than my previous chassis shown above in post #2838 using the same type rear tire, but was a little quicker even with the very loose condition. I switched the rear tires for ones with more grip and clicked off even faster laps. I was very impressed with how the chassis handled on the road course at Holly Hill. If you are looking for a road racing stock car chassis kit, I strongly recommend this kit.

Nice build, James, and congratulations on your RP win!
What guide flag did you run and do you set up your front wheels with any side to side play?

I ran the new Red Fox guide on this and all my other cars. I believe all eight cars in the F1 A Main had the new Red Fox guides, and all of the winning cars from the other classes. They are good stuff. My teammate, John Weaver, did in fact experience a full tenth gain in speed with only changing the guide and nothing else on his Can-Am car.
I use JK fronts on many of my cars and always set the sideplay to approx .003" - I actually use the paper from a used sheet of lane stickers, cut a notch for the axle, and slip it between the hub and brass keeper when I go to set the front end up.

Hey Chris, nice build
This is my 1st stock car build using a kit that was machined in house at HVR by Chris Luiy and Jim Williams using a small computer controlled milling machine, the pans, nose, both .032, and bracket are the parts that were made.
The rails are .047,all else is .062, Bartos front axle,HVR fronts, Swiss 2 deg. tongue.
The quality of the parts from HVR are great, nice and flat and very clean cuts.
I hope it runs as good as the parts I used
