Kind of like the Cheshire Cat. The chassis you see above worked really, really well! I'm very happy and my experiment was quite successful.
More development along this thinking will happen.

My newest build is a copy of the Tony P. Aero Pod. The first picture is the cad drawing and of course the pictures to follow are the build as it's going.
The inner main rail assembly is pretty straight forward.
The outer angled rails take a bit more time to get perfect but luck was with me on this one.
This shot shows the added brass blocks to protect the floating bite bar tubes.
And finally, an added brace to support the gearbox.
This is where I got to but ran out of weekend. More to follow.

Very cool. I like the square floating bite bar tubes
and especially how you braced them.

I tried to take my time with this build and try to learn to make the solder joints neater appearing, and learn to get everything looking overall better as a finished product...Have to still add body pins, front wheels, and one final cleaning Hope you like it! The photos don't do the car justice as far as the shine on the brass and the piano wire is like chrome! Its not perfect, but I'm happy this one came out pretty clean overall!
Made the front struts triangulated and wrapped with .007" tie wire
The main outter rail is all one piece that bends up and supports the rear axle tube
Tie wire around the motor "Bracket C Bend" to keep it supported to the axle tube
Obsessed is the word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.

Yes, this one has a home, it's going to Japan along with an F-1 chassis as well. Now I can turn my attentions to your car. Look for it soon......

The bite bar floats in cut outs on the outer pans, the thin plate separates the wing pan which is also hinged also. The wing pan
is held in place with the rear pin tube and it can move around in the square tube on the outer edge. The long front wing will have
two drill holes for the lead wires and I am waiting on new fronts so the outside edges may be trimmed more yet.
4.875" is the G/A and wheelbase is 4" the wide is now 3" no more.

I have been busy building some parts for the shop, but now I have added front
pin tube that can move because the rear pin has movement. There is also two
holes for the lead wires now.
