A Stocker roller for Shakey George Blaha, Duffy 66 "Iggy Katona." 76 gr. naked, all wire .047" & all-Duffy hardware.
This is the last of the Duffy Tongues. Swiss' are everything we'd want, why go to the trouble?
Six rails total but only two go the distance, the inner one being just to tie down the flex along the unsupported length 'tween bracket & nosepan, creating a secondary flex point right at the motor face, & you still get the nice twist of less rails.

Did I thunk it up myself. It's something I was mulling over for a while as a possible way of "tuning" the fantastic springiness available in Ralph Thorne's lead wires. I mentioned it to TonyP the other day & he agreed it sounded great; we both tried an iteration of the concept (consider how many possible ways there are to kink, and think of what they might impart to the guide shoe) and he tested first: it works, makes for a softer spring.
Then we agreed to let ME get the Proof Shot up first, since HE'd copped Prima Noce with our last phone-brainstorm, the Wallenda concept!
My point is, did I thunk it...a bigger thing is how these ideas spring from our common everyday conversations. Two, three, a number of guys toss ideas around and things show up, things that move our thinking and our technology along to where they mightn't have gone if we'd been stuck alone in our rooms.
And I wonder what happens to our technology as we practice more & more of our hobbies online.

No problemo, Duf. I don't look at every picture in every thread. I saw yours first, so I asked you.

Jim, I knew that you would figure that out, and in testing this out, the nose piece really shovels through and under any cars in your way

You should see the new bracket that we are working on for the rear, it is built with so much piano wire bracing, safe for the East Coast, that you could hold a WWE steel cage match inside it !

Something I found this buried on my work bench. Marty Stanley built this F1 chassis 4- 4 1/2 years ago. Check it out, 6 rails of .047 and a .039 wish bone with a trick guide tongue. Still rather up to date today. Everything that's old is new again.................

Hey, I am looking for seven more guys besides Duran to send the Land of fruits and nuts super light version of the new chassis to. I would like to fill the A main at the Checkpoint Cup race like the Sano.
