Decals are inside. I think I got enough on there - I'll be seeing "S T P" in my sleep :laugh2:

I'm getting an STP tattoo on my neck and some STP jammies for puttering around the apartment

First coat of two - brushed on Testors enamel gloss red.

Note for you fellow vintage paint freaks - I tested the enamel thinner beforehand on the cockpit as an "overspray" solution. The body has lots of cuts and holes and I knew it would need some wipe ups.

No good - just as I suspected, it attacks the butyrate. Lighter fluid doesn't and works fine :dance3:

Flat black areas will be airbrushed on after the second coat of red

I've experimented with Pacra Trim Tape for shoulder harnesses and visor straps before, but never was completely happy with the glues I tried. I want something that gives at least 20 seconds working time and dries hard as a rock. This time I'm trying rubber cement on a junk head. I'll give it an hour and see.

Nobody wants to see me freehand a thin straight line, that's for sure :laugh2:

Trim tape glue experiments were all failures of varying degrees.

CA spot-welded on at various intervals then waiting for them to dry one by one, seems to work "OK".

Still looks much better than a brush stroke :D

I couldn't resist putting one more STP decal on the car, Andy (RIP) :good:

The driver is CA glued to plastic sheet I cannibalized off a bigger interior.

The owner's motor may be of slightly different dimensions than my FK test dummy, so I'll leave the interior as is, untrimmed. He may chose to mount it on the motor, or trim it and tape it.

Track test results: Perfect.

Scoots real nice with the test motor, an old FK, Handles great for such a little car.

No bad habits at all, and no tuning was required - she behaved real nice right out of the box.

A pleasure and a real hoot to drive :good: :victory:

Owner requested the test motor stay in the car for now - good decision on his part, I think.

I cleaned the tires, mounted the driver atop the FK motor with double sided wing tape, and she is 100% done
