Does Syracuse have a drag strip? Or do they run drags on the king? Maybe another time?

Seems breaking is a issue. Isn't that what walls are for?
Rail dragsters on a B king ? Nooooo thank you.
Hopefully I'll make it there tonight.

The raceway list for Solvay list a drag strip. Picture seems to show one as well.
Maybe they just got tired of walking the cars back after each run.
Just saw Mark's post -
Walls are for Breaking
Glue is for Braking

A NH friend built a portable 1/8 mi. drag strip with a powered return lane. The cars end up in what looks like a padded doghouse with extra padding material. This home-made device stops the cars well, without any damage.

Your chassis on the right in post #98, I've seen before. I don't know who builds them, but an Ohio guy who sells slot car parts by the lot on eBay was selling them 6 or 8 chassis at a time. I think that design has more flex than others. What diameter piano wire is used for the rails? Smaller than .063 (1/16")?

The delay in completing the post was due to air traffic

Each post in a thread is numbered by the software starting with 1, 2, 3, 4... So you don't have to number a photo, just use the post number a photo appears in. Nice & simple.

I've narrowed it down. I only posted one photo with two chassis.
That's a good question. I have no idea. You can ask anyone. I have no idea, as to who made it, no idea on that either.

The chassis on the left is an early REHCO. It uses K&S brass strips for the pans rather than the stamped pans used on their later chassis. The chassis on the right has shown up somewhat frequently om eBay the past two years. It is probably a lesser known's production chassis.

With which car, which chassis & motor did you hit 6.95 on a king?
I don't want to brag. but 50 yrs, ago when Joel held the king record at 3.72, I was getting 3.95 out of my own chassis & motor built with a Rocket 25 arm. I was not a pro & that was with full glue.

Tune in for the next build,
Not as simple but, still simple enough for most.
Damn! I wish they were racing them near me! If not for the production cost, there wouldn't be
Flexible fryers. Ummm, flexible flyers.
