Let's start this party early.

I'd like to see the spec gear rule in LMP go to spec pinion only. Let's take one of the training wheels off these cars, and allow the racers to change out the spur gear if they choose. Nothing like allowing a racer to tinker with the car.

I'd like to see the Mosseti Death Dagger 'Legacy' center section added to the approved center sections. I haven't read on Slotblog or Slot Car Talk of a single person injured by this center section. Let's put our big boy pants on and get this center section approved.

In GTP, we all know the fastest body hands down are the RTR bodies. I'd like to see the Mid-America Max Speed replace the current Mid-America Evolution or be added to the approved body list. I used this body in a race and it was faster than the Evolution, it will at least give the RTR a run for its money. The RTR bodies are fast as we all know; 95% of the podium finishers run them.

Who else has some ideas in the FSCS?

I'd also like to see all FSCS raceways open the doors at 7 AM before the race to allow for tuning. If people are going to travel three+ hours away to race, I would think it's within a reasonable accommodation to have the track open at 7 AM so the traveling races have time to tune there cars. The current 1.5 hours of time at many raceways is pressing. Or if the track isn't opening until 8 AM, then the track shouldn't be turned on until 8 AM. I have gone to a couple races over the last two years and there's a 8 AM open time and I get there 10 minutes early and the track is hot and people are already practicing.

Let's talk about the raceways owners responsibility to providing a clean track within two weeks of the race. Is that reasonable?

I kinda like the gear rule for NASCAR and LMP, yes it takes away some tuning ability but it helps keep the field competitive and let's face it the fast guys will be fast with or without a gear rule. That being said if we are keeping the gear rule or goto a spec pinion for NASCAR and/or LMP can we have the weight rule match so new racers (or some of us lazy racers LOL) can run the same car with just a body swap?

As far as GTP, I'd like to see a faster motor.

My biggest question is what would it take to get the Viper Pit on the schedule?

GTP with faster motors? It's already a crash fest. GTP is a survival race as it is.

I'm game. What are you thinking Mid-America Supra?

Let's get some.

I'm not fully versed in the motor game I just run what the rules say to run. I'll leave that call up to smarter men than me LOL.

Well, Mike, I can almost guarantee you we aren't going to have faster motors in GTP. But we might be able to have faster cars in LMP, if we can get an open spur gear in LMP, we could run a lower gear ratio to recycle tires from NASCAR to LMP.

We would be able to true are tires after NASCAR and stick them b**ches on our LMP. The track might change and we might need a different tire compound, but there's times when the same tire works in both classes.

I'm just doing my part to minimize the carbon footprint my slot car racing game has on this beautiful planet. It has nothing to do with the cost of tires as many are probably thinking.

An impromptu race has been scheduled at the Viper Pit for Sunday, August 10. Short notice but we thought it OK to fill a gap in the FSCS schedule. See viperpitraceway.com.

I'd like to see the spec pinion only in LMP. I dont care if the clearance is lowered to .025

For anyone who hasn't seen it, a post suggesting changing the minimum rear chassis clearance rule from .047 to .025, is posted here.

Where we are about 10 days from the new year. Is there any talk behind the scenes about a race schedule for the 2026 year? I am planning on racing the series next year.

Random Qualifying lanes at every Raceway, would be great also. This way the orange lane won't get rubbered up and won't get hogged

Day 7!of the new year and no race schedule or even a comment on whats going on. Why is it talking so long? This can all be done in 1 day if someone will just do it. I want to run for points this year.

I've been talking with Marcus, Ed, and Joe for "a while" .... to try and get things moving along.  The schedule that's been discussed has the season starting in February at P1 in Winter Garden.  PROBABLY on Saturday, February 7th since our usual 2nd Saturday date would fall on Valentine's Day

Tentative Schedule

Saturday, February 7th - P1 Slot Car Raceway - Winter Garden, FL

Sunday, March 15th - Fast Eddie's Slot Car Raceway - Pinellas Park, FL

Saturday, April 11th - Slot Car Raceway - Vero Beach, FL

May 2nd or 3rd - TBD (Racing on the first weekend to avoid racing on Mother's Day Weekend.)

Saturday, June 13th - Non-Points Race at The Viper Pit - Thomasville, GA

FSCS 2026 - Preview ....

I typed up the 2026 Guidelines more times than I care to think about ..... and things still aren't 100% nailed down on the schedule.  Once Marcus, Ed, Joe, and Dale get to spend a few minutes proofreading it, I'm sure it will get "Officially" posted.

Here's a sneak peek of what's ahead.

All Classes

Beginning with the May race .... there will be a Maximum Spoiler Body Height of 43mm in all classes.

Added the Mossetti Legacy Chassis

Added the Mid-America lightweight pan

4" NASCAR

No Changes

LMP

Added the JK Products Bravo Concept body

GTP

Added the Mid-America Speed Max body

Sunday, March 15, 2026 - Fast Eddie's Slot Car Raceway - Pinellas Park, FL

Saturday, April 11, 2026 - Slot Car Raceway - Vero Beach, FL

Asking for a Friend

Does the max rear spoiler mean we can add extra material if needed to hit 43mm? He has one of those nice small staplers that can secure a little extra lip to the spoiler.

No sirree.  Still can't add air control.   I probably should have worded that as "Maximum body height" instead of "spoiler height."  I'll make the correction.  ;)

For the GTP it was mentioned that the CR102 with a 14/34 gear ratio was the choice for the class. Is this still happening?
