ME ME ME MINE!

I asked Jairus to do his interperitation of a body that Bob Kovacs painted in a 1968 Model Car Journal article. He did a wonderful job  .

I'll post the Kovacs article and more shots of the finished car soon.

Thanks Jairus!

Finished this up today.
Received as a bent frame and a body, with the request that I make something cool out of it.
The frame was straightened and wheelbase lengthened. A Pittcan motor with vintage wheels, axles and gears added. The body received a bunch of vintage decals and a period interior with Russkit driver. Rear wheels and tires came out of Thailand via eBay and are of Dynamic origin with still soft blue rubber! Cool huh? A little truing and some Trinity "Zip-grip" and they are almost ready for the track.

VERY cool...

I think that's the first Mongram Lotus I have seen that was not painted green.

Nice change of pace.

Finished another Thingie this morning. Paint didn't take long but it required more than a few hours to true up the tires, set the wheel track and replace the pink Parma Guide and lead wires with something a little more period correct. Yes Edo, it is an A.W. but that is what the customer wanted. Besides... it will run circles around your in-lines... LOL!
Chassis is Champion, guide a Jet Flag, Motor Mura and wheels Russkit. Body by Eldon "Gene" Adams and is called the "BatCar" by Gene's World Body Works.
