I thought I'd share the finished car here. I may add period air control in the future. I built this one a few years ago on another forum:

A friend asked me to paint up a race body with flames for the USRA Nat's. The picture doesn't do the colors justice, at least on my laptop.

Looks more like a GM product in the photo from the roofline, trunk and grille. Maybe a 1970 Buick GS or Chevelle but not a 1970 Torino. the Grille is all wrong.

Rob... not to mention the lack of a quarter panel line... but then I didn't call it, the buyer did. I just paint them like I am asked to paint them! The rear bumper and grill sort of do look like a 1972 Torino up close... but the angles, rear window and 1/4 panels are really bad!

1972 Gran Torino and 1970 Buick GS both have little horizontal slits for lights. I would bet it's a 1970 Buick with sort of a cowl induction hood.

This body came from Riggen HO where Ron knows his $hit! I am pretty sure that it was the master makers during the early 70's that screwed up.

We are told by guys that raced in Southfield area (Mi) that these are vintage "DPizza" bodies, or vintage Thayer bodies...

If only we could have original literature/pics/packaging (if they were packaged)!!!!

Happy to be corrected by someone POSITIVE of what it was called---regardless of what it is. HA!

More importantly...INCREDIBLY PAINTED!!!

Jairus, question what are you using for safety belts? They don't look like there where painted on the lexan interior are you using some German after
market parts?
Either way they sure look to cool my friend. ;)
I know that Cap. Rick is going to be stocked when he gets that beautiful body. ;)
