I agree with J....

There are tons of 50's model bodies out there, if someone wants to pull bodies and do a vintage stock car series.

In fact, A 53 Hudson and a Chysler are scheduled for release this year.

I guess Mr. Frank didn't understand. What I was trying to say was that any model car kits can be made into a mold for vacuum forming. Of course a car with deep undercuts will need a two part mold and modified in a dozen different ways. The finished product could also be resin cast, which is preferred due to the heat, so the master will last for many pulls.

There are maybe 20 model kits of 50's cars available and a few diecasts that will work. There are also many resin kits (expensive) which can be purchased through Modelhaus or R&R Vacuum Craft. The trick is converting the kit into a mold by filling windows, drilling holes to pull the plastic into details and door lines... not to mention figuring out how to get the new body off the mold!

It just takes thought and time. :)

This is a Mini-B that I call a "Super Mini-B" because I swapped out the standard tired 26D motor and put in a Champion 607 chrome can motor equipped with Arco's and a REHco arm. This motor is a screamer and if it ever got good grip... would be killer at the track. Better use lots of glue! :laugh2:
