a quick review of the Proxy cars:
A dozen laps, after treating all tires with Zip Grip 2 (included in the box) on my 30 meter MDF Plazidus track:
Power is 12 volts with 13.333 Amps per lane:
Controller are the german ACD Pro 10:
Al's Blacklight:
steady and secure to drive although geared too tall for my track. Also the motor seems a bit lazy to take off, I had to increase the sensitivity on my controller to make it more responsive. Brakes so so.
Brian'sREM Raceway:
great motor, crisp and responsive. Cars seems secure and steady but does present a strange behavior exiting the widest curve where the motor would stop working, the car would coast for a foot or two and start again.
I shall investigate.
Gary's Rocket 88:
Fun car to drive, quite secure and steady! Great motor super responsive with a beautiful sound. Marvelous paint job which unfortunately has paint flaking off in several spots.
Ralph's "this Bud is for you" (but not for me!).
Now I know Ralph can do motors and this one is an excellent example!
But, by golly. did he try his car before sending it? I don't think so!
He would have noticed that he offers two choices: tip over or front deslot.
Edo's Tron:
did I tell you guys it stops on a dime and gives you back change? Thank you blu dot Champion magnets! A very drivable car with an horrible sound compared to many here.
Ray's Manta:
is geared very tall for my track, no brakes but still a very enjoyable car to drive! No matter what you do it stays in the slot.
The Dynamic OEM 16D is not very powerful compared to many here but quite honest and straightforward in the way it delivers power.
Bob's Road Kill:
geared perfect for my track, very very enjoyable to drive although if pushed hard tends to deslot on the front (which is quite typical every time a Choti body is used, or so it's my experience).
Excellent motor!
Ray's MiniB:
Great motor, geared fine for my track. Seems to suffer from too much traction as it tends to "jump" on wide curves then loosing the front.
Don's Derrière:
pretty good motor, perfect gearing, amazing brakes. Tires have to much traction making the car jump like a bunny on wide curves (similar behaviour as the MiniB ).
Tends to tilt in narrow ones.
Jairus's car:
Nothing much to say since it's near perfect on my track!
Oscar's:
Honest enjoyable motor, geared fine, ok brakes. I had fun driving it. Those new old stock tires, once treated with Zip Grip were very good on my track.
More coming soon.

Still in LA? Barn, that does not look too good! Let's pray!I got it Tuesday and sent out Friday and as of yesterday it was in LA!
Anyway here are some more informal tests.
John's Swab:
what can one say? Just perfect! Enough said!
John, unfortunately I had a mishap with the Zip Grip dispenser which suddenly dropped too much liquid on the inside of body while I was using it for your tires, I dried it right away but it took away some paint, see the damage in the pic:
I 'm so sorry!
(From now on I'll use my own bottle which dispenser seems to work better).
Jen's Needle:
a quiet peaceful motor which demands to be pushed all along the track (to make it go).
Car is very stable and on lane 1 you can take the widest curve full gas.
Very fun.
John's Diana:
Very fast and secure car which cannot really express all of its great potential on my short track. Slight too tall geared and medium brakes.
(John why is the body sitting so tall in the front? It's strange to see it race around the track that way, it seems it's gonna take off any moment.)
Bob's Astro:
Similar behavior as Jens's but with a faster motor ( and picks up speed sooner) wants to be pushed and made it run lap after lap till your head spins. A real trooper!
Pablo's cuc:
well, you know I loose my head when I see a Cuc! You push you push and it's right there in the slot!
A ton of fun!
Joe's Titanic:
Dear Joe, you know I live by the motto "Vintage or Death". But I have nowhere the courage you have insofar mounting vintage tires on your car!
No matter how much you treat the tires you can feel those are trying to bite the track without much success.
Great motor though and with contemporary tires would do well!
With much respect and admiration
E
Phil's Future Kingie (what another Kingie? No possible!)
There is something to be said about those GE motors once geared properly!
This car is good, works well on my track!
More to come soon...

Steve's DynoGram:
Excellent car, very stable and fast. Not much braking power but in this case it contributes to the fluidity of the car. Very enjoyable.
John's 6T:
Another great GE motor geared perfectly for my track. The car is fast but tends to tilt suddenly in tight curves. Has to be driven sensitively.
Rob's Streamliner:
Glued to the track! Super stable. A bit taller geared for my track.
Mike's Scorpion:
Another car which is glued to the track! Great motor, perfect gearing. Veeery enjoyable to drive.
Dominic's Aculeus:
this car has to be driven like you'r walking on eggs! Way tall geared. No brakes. Tends to deslot easily.
Steve's wave:
WOW! Dangerously fast, another car which cannot express all of its potential on my track. Should be a winner on every King track it races on. Too much for mine.
Miss K's Miss K:
Double WOW! Perfectly balanced. Looooved this car (except for the unpleasant noise it makes)!
Ok gentlemen, this is it until Barney's Orange Crate arrives.
All cars are working great, they are still lubed from Australia.
I went over those Dynamic screws holding weights to tounges and to motor mounts, a few were loose, fixed them.
Tires are still fresh and my Zip Grip dispenser works better than the one included with the cars so no more mishaps.
A few bodies are in soso shape, with paint that came off but all still holding on. We'll see after this round what happens.
Saturday we will have coming Franco e Maurizio from Turin and Allan and Joerg from Zurich (both staying on Sunday too to finish the race if need be).
All outstanding racers I can guarantee. Kingie will be marshalling, he had enough fun testing them toys anyway (besides he's nice to out of towners).
Ciao for now

I found out what happened to the tires in AU. It seems there are several types of Naphtha and the strong stuff eats SBR rubber so be warned... I cleaned my tire that "chunked" at the first race and it fell apart! My car will now have natural rubber on it.....

I wouldn't be so sure about Zip-Grip either. If it eats paint as Edo says, that's not a good sign. Guess we'll see...
