Did any of you guys who entered cars with G.E. motors zap the magnets? Just curious if it's even possible or if they respond well.
I looked at a lot of info on G.E. motors in VSRN... see Sept. '67 article here: http://www.vsrnonlin...08/GEMotor.html
It seems that at the time these motors were released, they had some of the strongest magnets available (partially oriented barium ferrite), and some guys were turning down the stack to get a little more clearance in order to lessen the braking power for better driveability.

Next seasons race depends on who wants to take part, who decides to direct the race (most important IMHO) and who screams the loudest regarding the rules.

hey john,,im not sure about GE motors, but i had my Pittcan re-zapped,and it seemed to give it better performance.i noticed it get a bit better brakes, tho Pittcans are really bad with them anyways.so i'd bet it wouldnt hurt.
and you bet a DYNAMIC proxy 36D RACE would be killer.

Great job Swiss, your hosting style will be hard to top for the rest of the series!
I say run 'em as is, (other than minor tweaking) they are an expression of each builder's thoughts and abilities and should remain so.
Thanks for all your efforts!
