Current DragRace front wheels should be not hard to find, and are about the same size as the oldie fronts. 3/4" diameter, 1/16 to 3/32 wide o-rings, .063 bore.

The only problem I have with Pro-Track fronts is that they do not replicate the vintage look very well. So, pick and choose wisely.

Hi JHW,
Do you know what the braid depth is on each of the tracks? Are they the same?

I do not. Still looking for a representative for Eddies to organize a race there. I do know that BP is flush.

Huh. Never noticed that the two times I visited. That is the same depth as ASA hobbies where the last race of the Dynamic Proxy will be held. Oscar, your car gets the next test run soon as I make it back to the track to see if both tracks are in sync.

This could be yet another reason for the changes at the podium most races then.

By the time this proxy race is held it is likely that Gary Gerding will have rebraided the BP King track.....for the USRA Div I nats.

Are there any plans to "standardize" track set up i.e. glueing? It was stated a few posts back that :

Track conditions will probably be the same as they are today, to say that they will be dirty and used with some left over glue present

Looking to have an entry, as I have always been intrigued by the Choti "ice scoop" style bodies.....and.... I have one onhand to play with.

if Eddies is like .010 that will make a big difference in the way the cars run from track to track. May if it is a big difference it should be the only adjustment made between races?

Well like Mike K posted, when they "rebraid" the track,,,,who knows what
the depth will be,,,,
BUT,this weekend when i go race on THE KING,i'm gonna ask
Jim Watterson,if he knows if its gonna change with the rebraid,or remain,
AND i'll let everyone know what I DO next week,,,

Oscar- i use a .020 setup block for the King. Not sure what the actual measurement is, but it's not flush.

Jeff told me it was .015-.020". I would like the track left as it would be for the Friday night racing.... I think they use falcons so it will not be too stuck.

Be sure and add another 'non' legend name to the list as well! :)

Seeing how I finally get to run one of the horrid B-Can motors in a race, Figured what better one then a Mura Pink that my motor man John H. has tickled just a bit with his motoring skills.

Started gathering parts for a build, and figured I would devil in the full Mura theme, dug up some Front wheels made by Mura, not really realizing they made more then just motors?
Need to get out the full gas mask when the iron hits the cadmium plated relic, will be using the front guide piece and the motor bracket, all the rest will be tossed into the scrap chassis box.We are going for full lightweight diet on this one,Unless somebody has a good reason as to why this chassis would make a good candidate for the race 'as is' ?

So far JHW has been the only person showing any build progress, get out the camera's boyz and share some of your thoughts on how your going to build the best Ballz Out Choti car on the planet.

To my knowledge and unless I miss my guess. But this must be THE FIRST race scheduled that makes the Mura "B" legal since 1969!

Great start Brian. Some nice bits there!

In 1969, it did not have to be legal because anything was! :laugh2:
