Use natural rubber guys...... SBR cost me a bad race in AU and then when I got it back and changed it missed the Edo race by 1 day..... I wonder where I would have finished if I just could have ran on my average for those 2 races.....

Seems most of the discussion is turning up on Facebook Paul. Dilworth showed his chassis this morning, Ben Kernan and Jim Struckel both posted their finished cars on the 21st.
Eventually all photos will make their way here and onto Slotforum.  But for the moment.... it's F.B. I guess.

My newest BFF Steve Koepp  painted body, ready to head out from some track testing at REM Raceway and then off to England she goes! For it's first of many stops around the world!

Yesterday marked the four week mark in the countdown to Round 1 of the series at North London. A good time perhaps for an update of how the cars are progressing and a gentle enquiry directed towards one or two people who have been a bit quiet since the circus started up.

Al Bond's car is being worked on, as Al has posted here in the last few days. Looking great so far.


Bob Suzuki assures me that he's working on his car.

Brian McPherson's car is done and went in the mail to the UK today. Remember to keep breathing, Brian.



Jairus and Maximo's entry is done and has been tested at a couple of locations.



Jim Struckel's car is done. I think this is a joint entry with Gary Vogeler. Is that correct?

Pablo's car is complete and in the mail to me too. There are photos of it here somewhere but they've escaped my net at the moment and I can't find them for love nor money.

Ray Fellow's car seems to be nearly done. Come on Ray!



Rod Morrison currently has a body on the way from Ohio to Scotland and is still building.

Graham Walker and Sam Weldon's chassis is done and is just awaiting a painted body.



My car has a completed chassis and was tested last night with a temporary practice body. Ran well enough.





Steve King is making good progress on his car and is intending to have it in the mail from Sydney on Monday next.

Mike Zimmerman's car has a chassis which is a clone of mine and is currently in St Louis while Mike decides which body to employ.



Steve Ploskunak's car is done and after testing two body shapes Steve has come to a decision and a new body is, I believe, being painted.


Team Evil Minnows were still looking for a body when I last enquired a few days ago.

Tony Davey's car is done and has been widely admired on Facebook.






Ben Kernan's car has tested and seems complete. Ben has posted a few chassis pics but they seem to have avoided me as well.



John Dilworth has been busy but seems on course to make the starting line.


Andy Brown-Searle's car has been done for a while and I'm guessing that Andy has been stress testing it against the Raceway 81 walls night and day for the last month.



That's the sum of my knowledge at the moment.
Jaak Beentjes, John Austin, Kevin Cosgrove, Manta Ray, Dennis Hill and the Barney Poyner/Ralph Klose Dynamic Duo could update us here if they're still intending to build a car for the series. Team Evil Bucks, comprising Tony P and Gator Bob, are a further mystery and direct probing has so far failed to elicit any response one way or the other. At this point they could magically produce a rabbit out of their evil hat and come up with the series winner, or their mainstay could be fully occupied with politics in the r/c world and may have to bow out.

Wouldn't life be a bit poorer without a mystery or two?

Steve, that is interesting about Pablo's car.  I can't seem to find the thread where he posted the build up either?!?!?!
Last I talked to him in email, he was satisfied with it and had not gotten it into the mail yet. So I posted that on FB that you should "Stop watching the post box". At that time the thread was available Pablo's forum page.

Now.... missing.

You betcha!  I just ordered the parts online 5 minutes ago!  It's going to be 4 rail x .047" rattler with the motor and rear bracket mounted on top of a chunk of .032 brass plate.

Since we got lured into this, I thought I'd hook you up here with a pic of the chassis I reeled out for Team Evil Minnows back in January (before I had flounder back to school...), but with body and motor I used for a light-test back then. Marty'll be hooking up the real runny-bits, and The Duffster will tackle fish-flaming the racing body.

In view of the areo inclination many of the late projects ate taking, I may very well use an alternate car to the one I originaly proposed. Modifications to its present state will be minimal, only thinner fronts & 3/32 axle.
