Sounds Good ... Go Ray !

Gator Bob's finished entry....BTW....Dave Crevie.......Do you have some extra Knock off's. It's the only thing Bob did not send....
This next shot shows the way I was instructed to mount the resin driver. 3M double sided foam tape was built up to proper height. Body pinned back on and the driver slipped in to position and pressed down. The body now moves "Around" the driver. I hope the tape sticks...lol

Looking great Ray,
Very interesting way of mounting the driver I used special tape too hold it taped on the body.
Will be cool too see how they all stack up against each other with these big differences in chassis designs.
Posted 12 October 2013 - 03:13 PM
Good idea on mounting the driver, assuming the heat of the motor doesn't affect the tape.

Driver gets the 'smooth cushion ride' and he has a heated seat
Came out Real Nice Ray !!!
With the floating mounts, sprung 'drop chassis' front axle, rear weight balance shelf, Low slab brass, CoG dropped rear axle, driver mass mounted to chassis ...
... he was on a diet and lost 1.5 grams grinding the rest and drilling his head. No rain gets in.
I hope it's a real smooth runner... cause "it ain't dat concours preeety" and the drivers face looks Molded Zombie ... dove gray Halibrands.
BTW - What range are these cars weighing in at?

BTW - What range are these cars weighing in at?
95 -127G.
The 2 cars I just received came in a little under 100G.
BTW,Ken Stevens chassis looks like jewelry.
It's looking like 10 cars assuming Jaak's doesn't run into a snag.
It's in the U.S.

With the holiday on Monday, next mail is on Tuesday.

Jaak's car did not arrive in today's mail.
With that partially in mind, I'm going to postpone the race.
We also have too many other issues with sick and busy drivers this week, including myself.
I'm battling a sore throat so my voice is too shot to announce the races.
In a week to ten days, I'll be able to have more top notch drivers.

Thanks for the heads up, Mike.
Hope you guys have a speedy recovery. I myself and my wife and little one are enjoying the flu at the moment...
The little one started and took one day to infect my wife... I managed to hold it off for two days.
Not sure why the customs are holding my car so long as it perfectly described on the box what it is and it is labeled Priority.

Jaak,
Nothing today, but at least it looks like the package left Jamaica, NY.

Thanks for the heads up Mike.
It sure took a while to get where it is at.
Not sure what the reason for that might be as to why the post nearly took a month to deliver it...with Priority and tracking
Just happy that it can take part in the proxy and will have to take this knowledge into account for any future proxies.

Jaak's car finally arrived today, 20 days after it was shipped.
It's very cool, and while probably not the first one to mount a body the way he did, the first one I recall seeing.
