Well these digital systems have ghostcar functions and can learn your trigger movement so they can copy/learn your fastest lap and replicate it...including the blip.
Technology has hit slotcar racing in a big way with digital.
They can simulate tire wear and fuel consumption making you have to pit to "change tires" or "refuel" to be able to get full power again.

The race is on for tomorrow night.
Approx. 7PM Central time(same as Chicago for the international entrants.
It's 1:38 PM here as I post.
Unless I run into a snafu, it will be broadcast on U-Stream.
I'll post the link here in this thread, once it's up.

Jaak; hope to get some pictures of your unique chassis construction at the race tonight.
You had mentioned earlier in this thread the challenge of decals for your Bardahl Special.
There is an incredible product we used as kids decades ago when we placed decals on the large Revell WWII 1/32 airplane models.
It's still available via Walther's .. a model railroad supplier. Solveset is the commercial name for the decal set solution.
Makes decals appear as though they were painted on model surfaces. Hope to see the Bardahl Special on the podium!

Thanks Richard,
Much appreciated
The decals would not follow curves and where too stiff to get them on proper.
Had done some research on this thing called decal setting solution and it seems it helps decals to set proper on curves without creating folds, just what I needed.
I will redo a body for this car when I get it back....so Mike if you are reading this I would love to buy another body from you with an exhaust manifold and exhaust (tube).
The rest I have (on the car)
Could somebody please check my driver it seems that the tape I used to keep him up has let go due to it being squashed in the post I guess.
The driver seems to be resting on the motor or something.
And I can also see my exhaust has come loose from the body to which I had attached it with an iron wire if that could be fixed I would be a very happy chap,
my excuse for the extra work I did my best to pack my car so it would survive the trip unscathed.
It looks like a great line up of beautiful cars, wish I could be there to see them go.

The above link should get to the race, which will be starting in a little less than 4 1/2 hrs.
Of course, ignore the old "Dynamic Thingie" description.
At the moment, Bernie Schatz and Lee Verdich are practicing with their ISRA cars on the flat track, getting it well broken in.
The radio will get turned off well before the race.
Before that, I'll probably change to a different radio where the speakers will probably be less feed-backy.
Also, the sun will be down way before the start of the race.
