Man, that's a lot of different classes and rules.  That should cover everyone's vintage slot car worldwide

No rice burner class?  ...hope the tech director has plenty of time.   

I better stick to 'dial and drive'...

 

Five classes listed unless there is a pre-registered count of 8 or more cars in any "Rods" sub-class.

 

Big Block Mabuchi 'Rice Burners' are allowed in the 'Wheelstander' class

Stock (Hardbody) Class

 

Can arms be cut? - Yes  - Stock Wind and Commutator.

Blueprint motor? - Yes

Ball bearings added? - No - (OEM Factory BB motors allowed)

He was trying to sell one of Rick/RGeo's rail kits with motor etc all loose, wanting over $200 for it!

Just checked Bill , the anodized one is indeed one of Rick's repop rail kits .

That was some record Gene recorded & held onto ! Talk about a long time. What happened to slot drag racing/advances in motor tech etc from/after the padlock era?

 

Rail & Altered designing/building is well under way , with an unlimited or 2 on the design board , some materials & parts already aquired

Crisp but shakey video, must need a tripod. Great AA/GS (pronounced: double a gas super) cars. No longer an NHRA class.

 

I don't know what the heck.....If the scale 1/4 mile record stood for 24 years .... my guess is not much.

None of the commercial tracks I went to in the mid/late 60s and then in the late 80s and 90s had drag strips. 

 

Good to hear you have started building and going for the Unlimited Class.

 

I have been gathering parts like squirrels nuts for a cold winter.

When it comes to performance parts I have 'zero' padlock arms or sized neo magnets.  So .... no unlimited class stuff... yet.

Have two new model hardbodies one for Stock Class

One for a possible additional entry in to the Comp Coupe class. Maybe an MX-70 skewed plate power plant with a lot of timing 'cranked in'

The Ghost Valiant will return and run in the Gas Class..... 

 

Getting near time to pick wheel sets. I love that part...lol

Have been gathering parts like you have and definitely further forward than I was for the 1st Florida Proxy!

The rails are at least together in the sense the RGeo rail kits are lined up & bolted to their mills, but securing rails together & drop arms/setup etc all still to do .

Rear wheels & tires sorted but vintage fronts proving an issue.. got a nos set of Russkit Eliminator fronts that turned out to be badly machined/threaded so they wobble when the axle is turned

Tried all the axles, with other threaded wheels & it's definitely the drag rims Russkit worker must of had an "off" day

Really trying to get at least 1 unlimited together and have the gears sorted, but looking at motor parts/combo for a full on crazy padlock

Have at least got chassis material ready to go & rough design, no neos as yet.
