Thanks DVan, I'd love to take credit for the roof chop but it's as the resin body came :good:

Just a body I had got & thought it would be a good base for a build .

Some question keep coming up:

Q: My main concern is rear tires. Do they need to be vintage rubber?
Do the rules allow new rubber on vintage wheels?
A: Modern rubber is fine. Even th urethane repop tires Rick talks about are really modern tires.  Modern wheels are fine too.  The rules do not state that vintage rubbber is required.

Q: Does a closed car with tinted windows need a driver?
A: Driver figures required, at least torso and head other than dragster at least head.

Q: Is there a track to body height requirement? ( Gasser Class )
A: No track to body height requirement.

Q: Are nerf bars acceptable as a bumper?
A: No. On Slot Blog, there is a picture of the blue Willys rear tube bumper.  Should have a tube bumper or stock bumper.

Next, this week I was going to update the Proxy page, now I will need to know whos' entering this proxy and how many cars you're going to enter. If possible, email me or post your car picture on here and give me permission to put on the Proxy page.

Thanks.

I "should be " entering  :good: Hopefully with 2 cars... although right this minute there's no real good pictures of either car as of yet. Except for the bare Beetle chassis and the chop top body that's already on here a couple of posts up.  Chassis work on the chop top is ongoing but really not worth posting pictures as it ain't much progress yet :laugh2:

As soon as there's any tangible move forward in either will post pics ASAP & you can post them up :good:

Unless you want the Beetle chassis now?

Gator Bob, I don't know which classes racers are entering yet.

I think so far we might have 6 to 8 of them, not sure.

Regarding the minimum tire size of 1" , is that purely for the rears? Or does that count for both fronts & rears? Just making sure before I get set on certain fronts :good:

Cool thanks :good: TIme to go revise what front's I'm gonna grab/use .

Was going to use a modern 1/16 axle wheel that looks really similar to the old spindle mounted 10 spoke magnesium wheels that were run a lot on the Altereds. But only measure around .820" ish with tires.... .decisions decisions ..... :wacko2:

I'm  assuming 1/32 is proportionally smaller, around .790 or so???

BoxerDog  For the 1/32 scale ........No tire size rules for 1/32nd scale. So called 1/32nd scale bodies vary in size quite a bit. ‏....

First 2 ready for test and tune. Willy's running a Kemtron Mustang in a slightly modified Kemtron chassis. The Fiat is a Hubbly with a Pittman 65 in a Dynamic chassis. (Yes it has a driver ) I'll be trying different wheel/tire combinations...Vintage verses modern. Neither car has added weight but I'm sure that will change. I'll report back with testing results.
