One other thing I'd like to propose...I'm not a drag racer, but my understanding is that you don't want the front wheels touching at a "modern" dragstrip that uses glue for shutdown because it can flip the car. Anyone know anything about this??? I have been setting them .063 high or so.

BoxerDog, this was dicussed and yes the front wheels have to touch the tech board, these cars are too heavy and slow that they just roll in the shut down area. The glue will be wiped off after they get picked up from the shut down area.

Looks like it would help a lot
What's the length of the rail?

It's aluminum. About 8 1/2" long. There are more parts coming for this project and will post them all soon in The Parts Counter....

Dvan, I plan on signing up for sure. I'm not certain how many cars yet. One "new build" isn't finished, and one of the cars that went to Florida is still in pieces.

Florida car isn't legal for this race so a new build is on the design board.
[Procrastination] Although no construction has begun yet..

Here's a possible starting point for an entry
With the moderately lowered roof I take it this would be entering the Altered class?
