Just received my "Sano" beaver from Cap. What a beauty. Convinced me to return to the r-4!

Since the beginning of the year, I haven't has much time to build or even work on my slot cars. Finally found some time this week to start the build. It took me a while to find it but it was in the last place I looked. Using a few hours of the time I found, I now have a War Beaver ready for final assembly to make it a roller.

Hey Eric -
Will you be running your War Beaver in the upcoming R4??

Tony,
Apparently you are not aware of the forces involved here. There are other racers who are not happy about not getting their War Beavers. Have you seen this?: http://slotblog.net/topic/57159-damned-beavers/

Pic of a new basic War Beaver build for a local racer, Nathan "The Kid" Pickett, aka "The Georgia Flash". Call it the "Georgia War Beaver" if you will. Standard buildout with HVR fronts, bearings in rear, Tony P wire guides. One thing I have done on this one that I didn't do on mine what to add a .019 piece of wire on top of the .047 wire going into the bite bar tubes on the center section. This limits up and down movement a little on the pans and allows full uncut tires to be run. I use a metric sized round tube on the pans instead of the square tubing. I noticed on mine that with the full length pans the excess pan movement on the hillclimb would scrub the tires. On mine, I just trimmed the rear of the pan .020, on Nathan's, I just added the wire to limit the up and down to cap it before it touched the tire. Can be removed if running a true .812 tire. Should be a reliable runner for the young mans first Can Am. Waiting for his granddad to let me know what kind of F1 chassis he wants built.
Nothing fancy here, just wish I could afford a tumbler instead of having to use Comet and a toothbrush, but I know it won't break if he walls it.
I will say this. The War Beaver kit is the most complete and easiest kit for any builder to do. The motor brackets are perfect, and I do only a minimal amount of sanding to level anything. A lot of build options available for the builder and my next one will be a multirail design which suits my driving style better. Can't wait for the F1 kit to come out

So when will the F1 kit be available to the general public, who are waiting with baited breath (whatever the Hell that means)

A Tony P build (I asume) with a motor marked "Matt Bruce" a pretty potent combination!

Nah, that's a Duffy build, Tony-tuned. Proto Beaver GP kit. Shaping up to be pretty darn good too.

My Duffy built War Beaver & Spanker Beaver as raced this past weekend at the RMRRA race. I took the War Beaver in its first outing to a podium position and the Spanker Beaver which my son raced is actually my favorite. They get better everytime I put them on the track.
I too am excited for the F1 kit.
They are worth the wait!

Grant Gorner got a good third place on the really tricky and hard as hell Holly Hill track this weekend with one. He said it was way better than any of the cars he built.
