The Modelville tracks are all nicely spray glued. Retro cars usually run treated or non-treated tires depending on how well the car hooks up.
PS: will the cars be running with any kind of glue?

It's a landslide....LOL
No wings wins.
Aero appendages from 1970.
Should the they be allowed in this race?

The tracks are cleaned and spray glued a few days or more before state or retro series races at TheRaceway.
Slip is better than tip .... these kind of cars might need treated or wonder rubber.
We can run some modern cars on all lanes to clean'em up first.

That's cool about no *added* air control, how's things looking for swoopy one off thingies?
I think it's best if we use bodies that were available in 1970.

That little Dutch Boy might be an ancestor of mine...? I could paint my chassis with 10 or 20 coats of his high lead paint, to keep the weight on the down-low...
It's been since the mid 90's since I've run a Dynamic chassis...they are quite light...I need to do some weight and balance calculations...

Good rule of thumb:
The thicker the wire - the thicker the lead

In that case I need a boat load of that girth increasing ballast !

Do we want to continue at Modelville with these rules?:
- 1.5 minute per lane on roadcourse and oval. (no-smoke)
//Or go to 2 minute heats//
- Four drivers, 4 cars start and next four come in round robin, driver stays in lane and cars are separated by one so we can 'drift' in the corners and reduce carnage.
//Or go with eight drivers at once//
Where are the manly cars? (Having said this, mine will be the first to explode!)
Thoughts or suggestions?
Also, does anyone have a raceway that wants to host a third leg, builder or not?
Jaak, what's going on down in Brazil? 😎

What's the power on the tracks there Phil?
A big difference is if the cars go straight to the next track or come back to the shop first.

Sorry,
I just discovered this thread and had to read the rules hurriedly.
I am interested in case there is an opening for more than 8 cars. I just love Dynamic.

Guys...I've got a question or two...
Is there a specific (Dynamic part number) front wheel for use with the #586 floppy (wire) front axle?
I have some Buzco Wheelies...and a few other styles, but we'd like to use as many Dynamic parts as possable...correct?
I'm all for "period correct", and "in the spirit of"...and after searching the blog and vsrn I don't seem to find any 1/16" axle front wheels / tires packaged and sold as a Dynamic part.
