It's a JK Hawk with a Trinity heatsink on it.

If you are talking about the Aero in Post 7, then at that time that was a TSR motor with the Trinity heatsink that Tony just mentioned.

Just off the jig.

New eight-rail Can-Am chassis.
War Beaver nosepiece, tongue, and bracket. Eight rails of .047" wire, .047" wire pans. Bud's front axle with nuts. 46 grams.

Should be excellent on higher speed King tracks and fast Hillclimbs.

Made this for next month's race at Holly Hill, going to try it at the Hillclimb this weekend and get some run in time on it. Six rails, .039" wire, Duffy tongue, bracket, pans, and cut down Duffy GTC center pan. 4" wheelbase and .850" guide lead.

I ran a car like this last time at Holly Hill and was second qualifier and finished second, my best effort on that killer track for me.

image.jpeg

Update: Doc Dougherty used this chassis to win the season final GRRR series can am race at Fast Eddie's Hillclimb. Doc also broke the lap total record by over a lap in the process. So it ran pretty well.

Probably my race car for our GRRR final this weekend. Duffy nose, tongue, pans and bracket. I spaced out the outer rail for more flex with out having to go to thinner wire. 4"wb, .850 guide lead, image.jpeg image.jpeg

This ran excellent I was able to TQ on Fast Eddies hill climb and set a new track record. I did not feel so well and only ran a heat and a half in the main but car was killer.

Built this up for our Christmas gettogether on the closest thing we have in Florida to a flat track, the Holly Hill monster.

I used the new Duffy 7/8" bracket and .032" guide tongue. Center pan is from Duffy F1 kit and Duffy .025" pans. Six rails of .039".

I used a car like this last time for my best ever qualifying and finish, so this should be good too...LOL.

This design has worked well on a King track and fast Hillclimbs.

Three main rails of .055" wire.
4" wheelbase.
Duffy NASCAR style bracket.
Duffy .032" steel tongue.
.025" pans.
Bud's front axle.
Ball bearings in rear
.53 grams.

I built this to try at the Hillclimb in Melbourne and it was quite good. Brian Ambrose used it to TQ and win the Can-AM main.

.039" rails, Duffy NASCAR bracket and guide tongue, Bud's fronts and axle. Parma narrow nose Ti22. It came in under 100 grams so we had to add a tiny piece of lead to make it legal.

I ran a car like this on a Hillclimb where it ran really well. It was great through the off-camber deadman and up the donut.

Five rails of .047" wire split with a split bite bar tube. Bracket is a Duffy F1 and tongue is a Duffy. Pans are my last pair of Duffy .025".

A couple of chassis I am going to test at P1 today.

An older short wheelbase .039" chassis
A copy of the one that Brian Ambrose won the last GRRR race with.
A super flexi .032" chassis.

Actually on P1's hillclimb it was the best one. Lots of bite. Went through the deadman really well.

Update on the .032" chassis. Ran it last weekend. It was very good after I put a thin piece of lead on the back of each pan. It had great bite, especially off the turns.

I tried it with a narrow and wide nose Parma Ti22 and it was best with the narrow nose. Again a much better car than I am capable of driving. LOL.

Something to test at Holly Hell this upcoming weekend. Sixteen rail .047" flat wire. 52.8 grams. It's on the stiffer side but that's what I wanted for our "flat track."

Duffy F1 bracket and .032" guide tongue. Bud's axle and BB fronts.

Tony, you are building some really good chassis. The Can-Am chasses that you show in posts #2 and #57 are the ones I got from you. They still run awesome and I have been using them since I got them from you.

See you at Holly Hill.

I had a lot of success on Hillclimbs with chassis with all the weight centralized and very light pans. I never tried a "Beaver" version, so I thought it was about time. Going to try this at the Hillclimb at Fast Eddie's, site of our next GRRR race.

Nose is left over from the Retro East Enduro batch of parts as is the bracket that Bryan made up for me. Tongue is a chopped up Chicagoland and front axle is a Buds.

Main rails are .063" and pans .047".

4" wheelbase, .90" guide lead.
Center pans is .032".
54 grams.

It was really good at Holly Hill. I was second qualifier. I was running on the top three which is good for me on that track. On red I lost a lot of laps in wrecks that were not my fault and wound up fifth. I think it was the best car I have ever had on that track. Very satisfied with it.

I'm thinking I will have you build one like that for me. Stiffer is better for the tracks up here. Bud's axle and front wheels installed please. Let me know when it is ready and I will PayPal you.

Thanks.
