New F1 toy for my teammate. Rick @ RGeo was very generous to send me some components to try out, and they are the basis of this build.

4 rails .063
4 inch wheelbase
1 inch guide lead
RGeo Shark nose piece
RGeo angled motor bracket
Weight with rear bearings and HVR fronts installed - 59.8 grams

I dedicate this build to Duffy. I unfortunately never got to meet the man, but in the few conversations had and in the components I've seen that he produced, it's easy to see this was not a hobby for him - it was a form of art

A classic Jail Door chassis for Matt Sheldon. Sort of a Duffy tribute. Drop arm center section built and bent by Duffy--no way I could have done a bend like that. Also a Duffy bracket.  Complete car pics soon.

Hey there guys I have been quiet for a while plotting and scheming in my slot car room. Changing my finger prints and cutting myself on the grinder to build some cars for a few friends. 99b0c067d19bb15d27ce55a790ed5491.jpg
This here is a d7 basically identical to the one I built for the fall brawl this passed year I qualified basically last but the car really came alive and worked well in the race till "Joe stuff" happened (erroneous destructive things that prevent finishing) and this one a x25r kit 0fbeb3f236ef5d450afcce6a1cd36376.jpg27da28471fb7ad17bb194743a76526d0.jpg
This one for my friend Andy Holman my yoda so to speak of slot cars. Taught me how to stay out of his way about 5 years ago and has regretted that decision ever since! There is one problem with the x25 I need to address before build up can you spot it?

I see 3 that I think are worth mentioning.

1 - guide tongue brace. Necessary on these, this brass isn't exactly thick or very strong

2 - brace on the rear plate where the the pans are captured

3 - there's no rectangle or square tubing for the front hinges to run through and act as a movement limiter. Running through just the hole in the nose plate, the pans are going to have a ton of up and down movement

Front axle is useful too lol

Well thank you James i now have 4 things! Haha I never used the guide tongue cause of the afore mentioned "Joe stuff" used to use on a few flexi cars and instead of bending chassis I broke flags.... Lots of flags xD
