Jeremy,
Nice build.
When the pans are both at full travel away from the center section is the chassis still 3.125 wide. If not the Tech Nazi will Get Ya.
My shuffle pan car is a lot different then the one you built. I limited the front to back travel to about .010 in. But they should work the same.
See ya at the races.

Me too.Great build Jeremy......I like the pans that are independent from the rails
I'm really starting to like the shaker concept with longitudinal wires
on the pans going into squares on the nose piece in the front and the Brackagra
area in the back.
Hershman's RPM built Columbus F1 record holder looks like it has a very similar
setup other than the right and left are connected and appear to shake as one unit.

Think Champion Turbo Flex.
First one I saw was a Crutchfield chassis belonging to Cap Henry. Cap said it was built to mimic a Turbo Flex. It worked quite well on the King at M&T

pans and keeping them from dragging.
I just don't build often enough to get good at
getting both pans to have identical movement
and not hang too low using a bite bar.

The part that wraps around the bracket kind of looks like a Cinnamon roll.

This is one of my dads limpach 888 pans. He has had it laying in his box for years so I took it from him and built him a f-1 car out of it! It miht not work anywhere but its still cool i think.

Well, you probably destroyed a $7,000 drop arm, but it does look real cool.

Find me someone to give me that for it and Ill make it look like new again YOu will have no trace of solder ot it! Just kidding It was my dads chassis from when he raced when he was a kid he said he bought it new in 69 so i want to keep it around . I might have to dig aroung and find some more of them for that price!

See if you can find the huge mistake I made on Number #1?]

Gee, I dunno.See if you can find the huge mistake I made on Number #1?
Taking too-blurry pics? Big mistake in MY book.
Pan pintles both slide forward & forward one jams against the front wire stackup?
Asking where the front BBs are going to be? (Wull, Duhhh, the Front, genius...)
Misspelling "guide"? (No, that's just a Duffy huge mistake.)
Motor's missing?
I give up. I don't win the chassis.

Rick,
Wow! I am a fairly frequent
The ribbed pan in this one is sweet.
I think Duffy called it with the pan hinges facing the same way in #1.
The older I get, the faster I was.

I was aware of both hinge tubes going same direction, bite bar removes that problem.
Hinges move enough with not hitting anything.
My spelling needs imporvement and I will start to use speel checker. hahaha
Thanks 4wheel, the ribs pans rock. I think they are stronger than .032 too. Might be something for future projects, and I have a perfect place to put a rib. Stay tuned for that one.
Those mistakes you all pointed out are small compared to one moocho grande' one that forced me to rebuild the entire chassis. That is another reason for #2.

tsk tsk, I would expect better from the master builder Pablo.Nothing to stop the bite bar from falling through and out the side of the car
