Here is the latest iteration of the two hinge tuning fork F-1 frame. Some may remeber that the very first of these that I built was very fast and raced successfully but it wasn't stout enough to take a major hit. Version 1.0 - 1.4 used a JK nosepiece that was cut down, 062 forks, and a single .039 main rail. This frame is built along the same concept but is all scratch this time (save the bracket and guide tongue), and has 3 x .039 flow soldered.
This version has most of the flex of the first car but is stronger and a little heavier. This car as shown will run about 94 gr. with all running gear on. In road race trim (with center weights) it would go about 106. Testing on a speedway track has been good but I haven't tried it on a flat track yet.
