I first raced a flexi in 1996, shortly after I came home from Colorado..

Mark, old ones, we must have. New ones we haven't, but I haven't bought a new or old flexi in 15 yrs.

Change the subject, that's okay with me. Do something on a subject such as body painting, motor building, or chassis setup. We could do chassis building, or soldering, but not everyone builds their own chassis, so I say no. We could just keep the subject open & let anyone chime in when they have something to discuss, that might be the best.

Here's a vintage flexi chassis that we haven't seen before. It's not mine, but a NY friend's. It's Proslot's clone of a Parma Flexi 1. It was only sold for a short time because Parma had then take ir off the market.

Modified flexi. or what? I don't have any modified flexis, do you? On a different subject, if you need a new. very good handling, flexi chassis for a flat track, James Cleave in England just started a series of setup videos for the JK C43. He says this chassis is popular in ISRA & other European racing.

Well, you certainly have my permission to change the subject a bit. I got most of what I wanted on the first page, and I've been enjoying watching this take on some new life and evolve a bit.
How about modified and/or custom built chassis? I know this isn't a retro thread, but I'd bet there are plenty of people who have built their own chassis or modified something, experimenting, trying to make something that handles better, or something else like that. (I have a couple of those that were built by someone else)

Speaking of the Scorpion, here's a picture of a Scorpion 3.
Bill, are the Scorpion 2 and 3 any good? I have yet to actually run mine. I got it with a lot of used chassis, but have yet to actually put it together. Seeing something about the new Mid America Salvator today , and Mark's setup sheet photo reminded me of it.
The 4" work great with 4.5" pans. The Scorpion 2 & 3 were both good oval and flexi wing car chassis.

RMJ , im still making wine. I'll post some stuff soon.
Does this mean you're a wineo?
The chassis in post #241 is a turbo flex with Champion's narrow (Indy) pans. There was a West coast track that annually ran turbo flex centersections with brass pans cut to fit whatever body they chose to run that year. The next year, everyone might need new pans. I think these races were held at a NORCAL track, but don't remember which one. My then, local contact there, Durl, hasn't posted on Slotblog in months.

I had friends in Colorado who brewed beer while I worked there. I didn't drink that either.
Five years on Durl, I thought it had been about two. I want to say he went to FL, but that may not be true. I'll have to check around.

The centersection has turbo flex wings, rather than an Astro's. But it's a modified chassis. Mark, what did you use to build this chassis?

You are correct. Quick look at the center section I thought it had the small cutout.

Matt, tell us what you have in mind for the .025 JK Cheetah 7s you were asking for. I don't have any, just curious about your intended use.

We have a couple classes that require a closed motor plate on the chassis. I like the overall feel of the Cheetah 7 over the X21.
