I used a Astro for the centre section, the indy pan wouldn't fit, that's why there's a big cutout.

Matt, no matter what chassis the three Simple Rules.
1) make sure everything Square and also ,flat.
2) this may sound ridiculous but I'm amazed at how much difference it makes.
Debur ALL edges!
3) not really sure on this one but here's what the experts say.
Angel the nosepiece 1°-2°.

One more thing
4) don't let the pans hang below the centre section.
I found this to be the most beneficial for me.

Mark, Matt is a very experienced slot car racer.  I used to level the backs of turbo flex pans but let the fronts hang below the center section.  The exception would be when racing CASRA, ISRA, or ANE Amca scale classes with 1/32" chassis clearances.

Why would that be an exception?

Mark, those scale racing organizations mentioned all ran with a 1/32" chassis clearance  to start. As tires wore down, you didn't need to end to with having your pans drag on the track.

I never heard of the chassis you show above. It looks similar to a turbo flex to me. Do you have one?  Was it made in the US or some other country?

BillNH ,just found this. Guess we're both right. From what I remember, there's a adapter for the 13u (wxyz)lol Motor. Between the lack of the adapter & lack of 16-D motors that fit, not a big seller.

Parma Flexi-car (Flexi 1) mid-late 80's

Racer Products spider chassis early 90's

Champion ASTRO around 91-92

Slotworks/trinity chassis around 92-93
Modified slotworks/trinity chassis with removed nose guard about 6 months after thr above.

Slotworks/Trinity chassis with lightened pan about 93

Parma flexi 2 around 93.

JK Chettah chassis with .032 and .025 pan around 94.

Slotworks Trinity spider chassis (all black) around 95

Champion Turbo flex around 95.

Parma Flexi 3 around 96 or 96

RJR storm around 95 or 96

Parma Flexi 4 around 99 maybe?

JK Cheetah 7 around 99 or early 2000's

JK cheetah 11 around 2002 or 2004

Parma flexi 5 around 2004 maybe?

Those are the ones I'm fairly confident about. The later JK chassis are the Cheetah 21 and Aelios.

If anyone has some of thr scale auto or slotcar bulletin magazine that would be a good source for a time line also.

The black Trinity spyder chassis came out before the 93 Nats…prople were running them there..

Ok with most of the time line. The Astro was definitely mid late 80's. The Turbo was late 80's-early 90's. Flexi-5 ,2004 is about right.
The 90's were the dark ages for my racing. The only track open was run by someone who I didn't like.

Do you mean the Hot Wing? They pop up on Ebay every now and then, mostly on complete cars. I've picked up a couple that way to put on my old Flexi/Flexi 2 chassis. I haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere else.
