A Black 2000 Lincoln Ex Limo Company Towncar with 695,000 miles on it... I bought it from the company after I quit driving. It is in great shape with no scrapes or dents, no rattles, no oil smoke, and it gets 9.5 miles to the gallon... I am retired and living on social security, and only need a car to drive 3 miles to get to and from town for grocery shopping...LOL... I drove the car for the last 5 years that I worked and put about 300,000 of those miles on it....

Bob,
I love those big Lincoln Towncars, they were my favorite at Avis or National rental cars in the 1980s, you could stomp on them all day and they loved it. Just did not like to brake too hard twice, fading was instantaneous so you had to time the traffic lights!

Had many Mustangs over the years and my last was the one I should have kept.... '67 Fastback with a 351W that was a little warmed over. Now for fun I drive a '72 Early Bronco painted the match..... sandstone with "cracks" (Bedrock Bronco).....Zolatone paint, mild 302, Granny tranny with 6:58 first gear, 4.56 gears, lockers front and rear and 3.5" long travel susp .... ran 35" tires till a few years ago when we started hunting in Montana... now I run pizza cutters on it as the 12:50x 35's will get ya killed up there in the mountains and that black Montana mud that is more like Vaseline!
My street car is 2.0 hamster powered Kia Soul and a Ford Escape V6 and for towing/ camping we just found a like new '96 Ford F250 with a Power Stroke and only 75,000 miles on it......

993... I almost bought a new 70 Z-28 and also looked at a low mileage 69 Boss 302 but being 18 ..... my ins. man told me how much and I backed off both.... I wish I had either now!
Raisin that 60 SL is a cool car too! There is a knucklehead here where I live that "made" his into a low rider and sun car only as he took the top off complete!! Not many left and to do that he should be hanged!

Thank you and it is amazingly easy to drive too.
At least compared to my 911 track car.
If you are looking at the car without the body....
Blue tape was my car #11 for the day at the drags.
The black hoses to the rear go to the cooler and fan for the rear end.
Lance Smith the guy with me in the photo restored the car, transports and services it at the track.
More on the car at this link.

Thanks, The '60 Liners have been a favorite of mine since I can remember. I do have 2 sets of wheels and tires for mine, the Magnum 500's ( I think Magnums look good on anything!) and a set of stock hubcaps and tires.

Wow, missed this thread.
But, back when Nesta first posted it I was between rides.
Currently I own and drive only one car. A classic 1958 Ford Ranch Wagon with not one straight body panel.
No rust but it does have a big 390 V8 and can out-run the 4-wheel drum brakes in a hurry.
She's not perfect but she's paid for, warm and comfortable and has all the tunes I could wish for while cruising...
Hang ten!

Tim, Back in the day my friend had a 63 Impala SS with 70 LT1, M22 and 5:13s ... on the street. Same Red w/ black bucket int.
Cool cars. I never drove a 409 car.
I had a 65 dual quad Riviera GS .. at 85 and up... I could walk away Super Turbine 400 w/ dual vane convertor
Jairus, Total retro ... I had that gas pedal and the little one for the high beam switch on a Opal 'K" (?) Wagon. IIRC

Hey Bob yes mostly as it came from the factory.
Solid lifter, mostly stock except for an aftermarket Holley and headers, stock exhaust mainifolds came with the car.
I've still have 2 911s but fun and kinda patriotic to drive a muscle car.
I was looking for a low mile C5Z and when I found it this Camaro was parked next to it.
So I made a package deal and took them both.
The car is about a #3 on this list.

Jairus, I love the old wagons and Raisin and I share a passion for the 1960 Ford. When I found out that they still made the 2 door body style in 1960, I started looking for my "surf wagon". It took 15 years but I found it (where else?) in Hemmings and bought it sight unseen, flying one way to South Carolina (the guy had about 25 '60 Fords in his yard) and dragging it back to CA behind a moving truck with a dolly. He said he found this one in a barn and had been in there for about 20 years, all the parts and mechanisms worked, it was blue, had a (seized) V8 and a manual transmission - everything I wanted! The glass was original and astonishingly clear for a car that age.
I spent over a year scraping the SC clay off the bottom (preserved the electrocoat!) and rebuilding it, painting it a three-tone blue, put the shifter on the floor behind a modern 302 V8 with headers and the lot. We named it "Vigo" (the CARpathian, from Ghostbusters II, "You are like the buzzing of flies to Vigo!") and I even put the trim letters from a VIGOr in place of the FORD letters on the tailgate.
I saw a picture of it on the internet taken by a member of the Fairlane club at a pizza joint. (That's an original '60 Starliner next to it.) I did a little bit of Photoshop magic on the image (to get rid of some dents, expand the rear glass, fender skirts, removed door handles, drop it to the ground, etc.) as shown below:
My wife drove the kids to school every day in So. CA - absolutely a daily driver, and we used to take it to the beach often. People in So. CA "got it" and knew it was a surf wagon. I drove it to work here in CO and people that saw me drive up in it asked me if I was homeless (they don't "get it").
One day, I would like to follow through and finish customizing it properly, with air ride, a proper aluminum big block (man, it will fit easily!), 6 speed manual, and hardtop doors (a Ford Nomad?).
Keep the shiny side up and the grungy side down,
AJ

Sorry about the nerf. "Sorry? Sorry? There's no apologizing in slot car racing!"
Besides, where would I even begin? I should probably start with my wife ...

The only thing I know about slot cars is if I had a good time when I leave the building! I can count the times I didn't on one two three hands!
