Deep intake of breath.......
I'll put an order in for some slightly thicker PETG, and get a start on a new body, meanwhile...She might not be pretty, but if she's still a runner then let her run.
I see the chassis withstood the impact, intact.
Do you think that strapping tape is having a positive affect upon the aero? lol.
Al.
Al,
How thick of plastic did you use??? I would go with .015 PETG- Lexan is turfier to forum, but would be stronger, if you have a Prof. vac system to make it? Cool design man!! Another thought would be to reverse the front brass retainers, less cutting action on the body ??

Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.

Dennis Samson will qualify all cars for 30 seconds with the soft walls up to protect the cars.
So now I know what you REALLY think of my driving.......
Seriously, it will an honor to qualify the cars, but to be included as a "legend" is over the top.

Saturday won't move it along any earlier vs. bringing it there Monday.
The Dyna-Rigg went out earlier today USPS, Priority Mail.
Air packages travel over the weekend so Barney may see it as soon as Monday.

We may have to suspend qualifying and do what Jairus said.... But how would we re-qualify on another track and place where the car should start? John's motor may not be as fast as his first one ... Maybe take the last car in Mike's A main and run it for a baseline and then run Johns and see if it can bump that car?
Jairus:
"The next race, slated to take place on June 18th, will be divided into three mains based on this races results with "Dyna-Rigg" re-qualifying once repairs made. (As will any returning entry) No need for re-qualifications for the rest of the field as these cars do not need the added risk unless repairs are made."

The motor still ran on the power supply so I went ahead and did the gear change
in case the car could still be raced.
I switched to the smaller 6T because of the clearance problems with the
the back of the Parma gear.
Even with the 6T, the back of the Parma crown had to be ground.
The original worn brass 8T and the chewed up Cox crown should be in the Dyna-Rigg box
which should arrive on Friday with the cars.
