I just popped in here, and this looks like it will be a fun project. Count Ed Blake and I both in on this one. I'll build one for him and one for me and look forward to having entries in this upcoming proxy race.
Keep up the good work getting this race underway, it looks like a fun time.

Ray, I like this chassis, do you have any idea who built it?

It was mentioned here about a drop arm version? Seem to be a period pcs.?

As for an update on the Choti Mule... it is now in Bryan Warmack's hands. He will be testing it out prior to the next D3 Race and will report back.

Hobby Town by me no longer has Tamiya paints.. They had it about a month ago, but no longer.
Jeez, I was in the Melbourne store on Dec 11th and they had lots of it. I'll try to get there tomorrow on the way to "Brandywine Raceway".
Anyone needing some please PM me before 3PM and I'll see if I can get it bought for you. I do not have web access from my phone.
Bro-Ray, what is the name of the color you want? SubLime pearl? No rattlecan..correct?

Thanks Jairus. April is perhaps too soon financially but mid summer could be a go! I am still put of by the cost of a set up jig. By todays standards, does any chassis NOT built on a jig stand a chance? Oh, and I visted your Fotki. The chassis you built for "The Realm" looks real close to what I ran, I just used much skinnier batpans and of course a wire front axle with 1/4" O rings.
Glenn, sorry to hear about the fire. Building without a jig would be possible but a major handicap.
I hope you can get it done, plenty of time, can you get a loaner jig?
Worst case, maybe you can proxie on in and turn some laps when they head your way.

Glenn, we are not even starting until March or April with a possible race mid Summer. Plenty of time to get that kitchen repaired.

Ya know, I've been on a lot of forums, but I have to say you guys are among the most friendly! I consider TRaK ( traditional rods and kustoms ) my home, but I just might have to "move" here! Thx!
Just wait till the race starts, things can change quickly..lol

Glenn, sorry to hear about the fire. Building without a jig would be possible but a major handicap.
Only if you've never tried building without one. A piece of thick glass (1/2" is best, but you can do it carefully with 3/8") or a scrap piece of granite from a countertop fabricator work very well. You can do very nice work without any jig at all!

It was tamiya's lime green metalic? I haven't seen it around in my area ether, as Tony mentioned the lack of their paint in his area too?
To bad! their paint was great. Sorry to hear about your fire Glenn. Hopefully you'll beable to get something together and join in on the fun.

John is right it is not really a handicap if you have experience building without one.
If you build off of graph paper be careful, no more fires....oops...sorry.
