So how 'loud' is the sequential, please share the difference on how they run compared to the skip wound.

 

Keep in mind that the TQ silicone is 'not legal' for the memorial drag proxy.

From limited experience the sequential wound screams (or at least this one does with the Kemtron thin lams/strong stock mag & round brushes)

Certainly seems to behave just like a C can/ modern wind.. spools up fast, very smooth and got that Mura dentist drill whistle..

Whereas the skip wound sounds loud, but no whistle, just a fast "heavy" kinda sound/feeling.

To sum up these are as close to a good can motor as you're gonna get with that large arm spinning in a heavy setup with the magnet/laminated field.

I've been working on something a little different.

Prep work yesterday of a formally 'sealed' crate race motor left over from one of my Florida ProTrucks.

Has 80 laps on it.

Minty fresh NOS parts are cool

As you know just watch out for those Kemtron endplates, just a bit fragile!

Very nice NOS RAM arm you got there Bob.. looks fairly meaty wire on that thing, 6 or 3 volt maybe? Lams look amazingly straight & ground ..

Nice!

It's all done, zapped, broken in and read to go. Big torque amp guzzler, great revs and very smooth.

 

1.21 amps @ 2.v

1.55 amps @ 3.v

2.49 amps @ 6.v

3.05 amps @ 9.v

 

For some reason my Koford PS will not go over 10 volts with this motor connected... (*?*)

 

I can't imagine this motor at 36 volts.

 

 

The 'seller' failed to mention that someone tried to 'resize the shaft'.

That was the only real challenge.

I pulled her off another job ... she is available to start rubbing on it first thing in the morning.

A bunch of guys on here have seen her around...by proxy.

Paul, I have the brother of your cat here in Denmark - weird :-(

 

here its hiding on a shelf - its black with a white spot on its chest and sometimes a brownish hue in the black - i have seen several similar cats, but I dont think it is a cat species in itself ?

Remember the pinching bug is inline and with some more horses out of the padlock twas popping the front & causing the brave pilot issues starting!

Get it right and boy these things inline I'd imagine could be brutal

It appears to be NOS.

It runs

The com is all munged up with oil (?).  

It smells like a dirty old motor should when running.  

Think it could 'let out the scream' ?
