This was my truck before I just traded it in on a Pearl white Highlander which I gave to the wife.
Here is the last car I restored before I got hurt. Factory four-speed, stripped to bare metal, painted PPG Vette Torch red. New quarters, etc. Everything done by me. Stupidly, I sold it.

If it weren't for Ford's aluminum head V8's tendencies to cough out a spark-plug every so often resulting in a $800 repair, it would be about the perfect work vehicle. Love the solid front axle and no real work truck should ever have an independent front end. If you want a squishy soft ride, buy a Buick.

Yeah... who dropped the ball in '02 that has that model rated as the least dependable (according to Consumer Reports) of the 986/7s? Mine has checked out sound so far but I suspect the previous owner did not replace the ribbed multi-function belt at the specified mileage, so my next expense will be... an oil change? Do you know how much ten quarts of synthetic oil costs? . Of course you do. Something tells me that this one won't be done at Jiffy Lube.As long as the "change engine" light don't come on!

.. how's it going? too early to tell, too late to do anything about it :: Q>
.. it will always be easier to create penalties for violation, than reason for conscience
.. one thing's for certain, nothing's for sure .. everything is possible, nothing is likely
.. (early advice from HT) .. don't just write there, say something!
.. if it wasn't this, it would just be something else .. no good deed goes unpunished
.. we are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us .. damn bukowski

Here is the dog... it is old, it smells of dog, it carries dogs, and it's covered 219000 km.
It doesn't cost much in repairs now but fuel costs are another thing.
NZ is the land of imports...J apanese imports. This Cherokee is one of them.
I drive it daily and the Mrs. drives a Honda.
PS: There two dogs in the last pic, OK?

Here is my 1965 289 Cobra CSX2486, one of the last ones. Here we are in 1990.
I had this 1968 factory Hemi Dart. They made 78 of these for drag racing only, no street registration.
Here is my 1971 Hemi Charger. The only one built black/black. I sold this one to Otis Chandler museum.
Here is my 1970 Purple Hemi Cuda, full rotisserie restoration.
1971 Hemi Challenger went to Otis Chandler Collection.
Charger Daytona, 440 engine.
1970 Yenko 427 Chevelle.
1970 Boss 429. Two year restoration to museum quality.

It is an automatic. Had my uncle from Texas look for it. Not many know that they are cool cars. A friend in high school dumped the six and wedged a 428 in the car. Twisted the unibody like no tomorrow.
Mine even has GM factory air. Body is in fair shape due to a door getting caved in when it was in storage at my folk's house. It is painted that ugly blue/green right now. Thinking painting up like the '69 TA . White with the dual blue stripes as that is my dream car.

In this bright future you can't forget your past.
BMW (Bob Marley and the Wailers)
United we stand and divided we fall, the Legends are complete.
I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.
Pistol Pete you will always be in my memory.

Hey, just noticed the steering wheel on the Jeep is on the wrong side
Yeah,we drive on the left just like in Japan.
This vehicle was made in Canada as an export vehicle.(according to the door sticker)
We get many cars eg BMW,Merc,Audi that are set up for Japan use.
NZ then imports the unwanteds and leftovers.
Importers must make the vehicle comply to NZ standards and away we go.
The black corvette is one of my favourites....those mags, the lake pipes....the horses!!!
